Ha ha - you know I only added this to the queue because you're a Kiss fan - though I didn't know at that time you hated the song so much! 😂😂 Even after finding that out I knew it would still be an entertaining review!

PMJ deserve a six before you even listen to their covers. Their true musicianship on display has always impressed me. I don't enjoy all their covers but this one was a brave choice for them. As you say, they made the KISS song interesting. 😛

Howzit going DH - as you know, I'm a fan of PMJ (PMJ sidetracked me from The Warning's evolution and it took me 5 years to rediscover them). Scott Bradlee is a genius, and the Spaghetti Western style is something I wouldn't have associated with Kiss. Listening to this (I have heard it before when PMJ released it), it feels like the opening to a Sergio Leone film, a composition that Ennio Morricone would be proud of (music, not words). A couple of small things - I suggest when doing a reaction to PMJ, to include the 'style' of the cover/rendition both in the title, and during your scoring/reaction after hearing it. It stops confusion for those who actually don't know who PMJ is ('wtf is this shit - that's not Kiss ...... ' get my drift). Honesty - as always you are brutally honest in your likes (and dislikes). Two thoughts in your head huh . . . Can't wait to see but hope I never get there ROFL. Goes to show, even though you're a big Kiss fan, there are some things that you hate about them (this song being 1). And its always hard to be objective about something you hate. Well done on your objectivity. Cheers from Oz - see you next time 🦘

Yeah, PMJ usually does jazz and swing style covers, but they've always been sure to throw us a few curve balls every once in a while. My favorite probably being the "klezmer" (traditional Ashkenazi Jewish folk music) cover of Jason Derullo's "Talk Dirty to Me" where they translated the rap verse into Yiddish. Anyway, I'm always impressed whenever PMJ uses strings. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but whenever I've heard string quartets backing up bands, they never sound like a full string section, but Scott Bradlee's arrangements seem to pull it off. Could be the players as well though, I guess.

Please react to silverchair pure massacre specifically their live performance at Melbourne 1997. One of the most underrated grunge performances I’ve seen. I promise you won’t regret reacting to it.

Turd, an apt description for 1970's schlock. It's nice they did a tasteful rendition.

DH, I think the term "Turdazzling" needed to be used there.

Getting rid of the "disco beat" improves the song enough to make it better. Yes, this was a disco song and you can't tell me any different.
