Notre Dame women basketball looked great tonight! The irish came out ready to play tonight Hannah and Westbeld and Citron were 5:53 on there game. Go Irish!

@ronkuehle3684, that is a three-headed Monster that is hard to stop! But, Maddy has to bring her "A" game every game! And she has the ability to do so, but some times she just stands around and gets lost watching the game, when she should be taking over the game! Marshal is so unpredictable! She literally helped "WIN" the Tennesse game, then she disappears! She played very good in this UCONN game! If they can get Marshal to do what she did tonight, nothing less! Then that really helps that three-headed Monster become literally unstoppable! One of the main problems with Notre Dame is: Their "BIGS" don't show up! You get "NOTHING" out of Watson, and sometimes out of Marshal. If either one of them starts to play like Marshal did tonight and at Tenneessee the team would take on a whole different look.

Sonia is such a class act to me and she has so much to give to the game. She can do it on Offense and Defense and there aren't to many Players in College that can do it both ways like she can.

@BmoreIrish, any time that Notre Dame "BEATS" UCONN, the Coaches and the Team will be hype! That;s just a foregone conclusion, come on!

Love to see her elevate herself and her team....

Ivey's enthusiasm is electric; she will be a big winner when she get's a couple of A level big players. Marshall is good, but she isn't strong enough to handle the inside bigs.

@Clancy2020, I agree with you! They need some BIGS! Watson contributes nothing game in and game out! Marshal shows up sometimes, as a matter of fact, Marshal has shown up in two (2) games this year. She literally helped Notre Dame "WIN" the Tennessee game, and then she disappeared! If Coach Ivey could get some kind of play out of either of those two players, Notre Dame would be very, very hard to beat! Because right now, they have a three-headed Monster that nobody can stop when they decide to all come to play each night! There are just two (2) Players that come to play each and every night and that is Hanna and Sonia! Maddy has all of the ability in the world to do it, but sometimes I see her just standing around watching, when she should be taking over the game!

I watched NDWBB lose to Syracuse. In that game NDWBB looked flat footed and Syracuse was the aggressor. Against UCONWBB, NDWBB was the aggressor and looked like national championship contender. UCONNWBB could not stop Hildago. Hannah is a spark plug! Love her attitude! She's a fighter. Westbeld had one of her best games to-date and Sonia looked fluid, like she did before her injury. I noticed that Hannah went back to her old hair style. I liked her dreadlocks but maybe they bothered her. When I played sports, I hated long hair, so I always kept mine short. Keep whatever hair style you want Hannah.

@tmbarton1961, the problem with what you just shared is: Maddy "CAN" do that every night! She has the ability to do it every game! But sometimes, she will just stand around and watch Hidalgo, why?

Lose to Syracuse then turn around and beat down UConn their house on their Legends Night. Make it make sense😊.

@nr30199, YOUR RIGHT! A much better team! That shows that Notre Dame does "NOT" come to play every night! But, when they do, they are very difficult to beat! I used to see Notre Dame do the exact same thing with my all time favorite Coach, Muffet McGraw. She would beat all of the "BEST" teams on the schedule, then lose against some team that she had no business losing too! A team full of injuries each year! Coach Ivey literally is Coaching just liter her Mentor! Some things Coach Ivey should have learned from Coach McGraw "NOT" to do! Like get a better Strenght and Conditioning Coach, so that your players don't suffer the same injuries every year!

Glad to see HH show her game on national tv. Much more dominant player than PB or CC and only a freshman. I’m always confused on how PB and CC get all the publicity when there are 5 or 6 freshmen playing the same position that are so much more elite. It is true that the media hypes players that deserve some of it but they are really just bottom 5 players in the top 10. Is it because they need to hype them for the W????

Up next? When Paige was a freshman she got all the media attention these freshmen that are playing at a high level that have the same stats and wins as Paige did as a freshman but are not getting that type of media attention they don't have to be up next then can be right now ​@@wesleyquan6581

@UncleOodoo, you have got to be kidding ME! Paige and Caitlyn has grown the Women's Basketball game! If it wasn't for the injury to Paige, she was who Caitlyn is now before her injury. I love both of those two (2) girls they are just AWESOME! Paige and Caitlyn have already "PROVEN" themselves, that's why they get the hype they get and they should! @UncleOodoo, you certainly don't have to worry, because JuJu and Hidalgo will get their prompts if they keep doing what they are doing! But, if you notice, whatever you do this year, then the "NEXT" you actually get the credit that you deserve. Those young ladies have paved the way and did their thing, and the same thing will come to the rest of those who you are referring too as well. As a matter of fact, they are really starting to get some Press as we speak.

Ryne Howard.especially aja Wilson with all of her accomplishments at a young age. None of them could have been capable of leading the way? Heck Paige and Clark hasn't even won a championship. Paige could barely stay on the floor. But yet u say it's just those two players?? Ok I see u just like the great white hopes I get it

Yeah, Notre Dame finally looked like the team that we all thought that we would see all year long. But, they have "NOT" played even close to how they did on tonight. If they played this way all season, they would only have one lose. Sonia, Maddy and Hildago should be the go to players every game! Those are the ones that can make it happen. Anna DeWolf does a good job of holding her own, but in games like today, it was a little too big for her. Marshal is a sometimesy player, and she looked really good tonight! Now, if they can get that kind of play out of her each game, Notre Dame would look like a totally different team. I don't know why the Coaches have "NOT" taught her to stop coming down with her hands on defense and STOP bringing the ball down on Offense. She needs to watch some file of Kitling at Virginia Tech, she catches the ball up high and keeps it up high. KK Bransford has picked up a little to much weight and it's slowing her down. If she lost about 12 pounds, I guarantee you, you WILL see the difference. At the beginning of the year, I posted that this would "NOT" be Notre Dame's year in Womens Basketball. They don't have the squad to do it, BIGS are to awful! But, next year! I do believe that Notre Dame can take it all!

Great points! I'll add to that that Maddie is the wild card for any semblance of hope THIS YEAR for a final 4 opportunity. If she just takes ownership of her unique size and skill combination and shows an aggressive mentality to impose her skills on our opponents we're still really dangerous. Our "Big 3" are Hannah, Soni, and Maddie.

@@QuincyHickman, I have been saying this all year long! I don't understand it for the life of me! Why don't they utilize Maddy's skill set more often? When Maddy comes to play, no one can stop her! Sometimes, you can see Maddy holding back and standing there and watching, when she should be taking over the game because she has the ability to do so. I am sure that Coach Ivey has set down with Maddy and said; Hey Maddy we need more of you out there! But, if you watched when her Sister was playing at Notre Dame, she did the same thing and she holds back just like her sister would do. I LOVE MADDY! I just think that her Sonia and Hanna, could take this team a very long way if Maddy sets up and plays her game. Also, if Marshal could be a little more consistent with her play, OMG what we could do! She literally helped us WIN the Tennessee game, and then she falls off. She played well here at UCONN, then she falls off the next game at Georgia Tech, who is coaching the BIGS? Because a whole lot of work needs to be done with Watson and Marshal.

@go2hvn2008, definitely "NOT" true! Just because they are "NOT" winning the National Championship every year! DOES NOT MEAN, that they are NOT a Powerhouse, because they are! I tell you what, take all of the injuries away from UCONN and I guarantee you wouldn't say that again! UCONN is one of the top Women's program in College Basketball year in and year out!
