@@OperaInfinita Uhhh what? It's literally Burial - Feral Witchchild (VNNA Reconstruction). VNNA had stems provided to him to construct the tune because there were only ever shitty rips of Feral Witchchild that existed.

this the name of series of mixes that contain music similar to what Burial does on Untrue and other releases. I wanna show how significant his works are.

'Postburialism' seems a bit too much to me. Burial did make some great music, but calling it Postburialism is a bit too much. His latest works in particular are objectively not that great. Just give these artists the credit they deserve for their own music, without worshipping Burial too much.

Agreed on Burial's recent releases, though most artists move on eventually but without him, none of these artists exist as they are. He still invented the sound and although there's some great producers in the genre, he's still the GOAT.

@@MichaelJP Agreed, I don't feel like worshiping Burial for his first masterpieces is wrong just because his grace dwindled. Gods get bored and lose inspiration just like anyone else, maybe even quicker. I praise the Goat for connecting me to Burial when I was a kid. What an experience that was.

@@SoulWhite I never said he doesn't deserve his fame, I have said I aknowledge he has made beautiful and 'innovative' music, very inspiring for many musicians out there. I think, personally, that if these musicians were inspired by his music, you can tell just by listening to it, but from here to saying it's 'Postburialism' seems too much

I think his latest works are pretty significant. But yes, I don’t like the whole r/burial community type of worship. Part of the reason why UK garage became such a centerpiece in electronic music and Burial’s first two albums were universally acclaimed was what it stood for, culturally and politically. Look up “hauntology” if you haven’t already.
