The 1st amendment, freedom of the press, exists for all people to observe actions of our goverment and report to everyone so that corruption and tyrants can be rooted out. If tyrants can hide their actions, they can hide their corruption. There is no excuse to prevent transparency and accountability.

People have a right to complain about cameras when they are being used illegally by criminals, such as in the post office, in violation of the federal regulations. I have worked in many federal buildings where you cannot even bring in a cellphone, let alone a camera, and will be instantly arrested if you try. So, no; they are not literally in the hands of everyone. It would be interesting if the US Postal Service were to enact a regulation that requires search and confiscation of cellphones and cameras at the door. They're already authorized to search your containers brought on the property, other than actual mail for deposit. Poster 7 even says as much.

Best Post Office ever, been coming here for 30 years…. 2.5 stars says a lot about what a person considers the “best”. Hey Press, when a Supervisor starts giving you lip then hides in the back, tell them to read up on Poster 7 while they are back there because there is supposed to be one per U.S. Postal Inspection Service guidelines. That will frost their niblets!!!

When I grew up in the 90’s. It was always a running joke about DMV workers knowing some people there are in a bind and treating public like crap. We all had to take it. I left the DMV several times angry at their attitude and mistakes. The post office used to be full of veterans so they worked hard deserved a union. Now even veterans abuse the system at the post office. They are forced to hire non union contractors to fulfill the obligation and lose billions a year on their out dated business model. Love the vids.

  • @UpnorthHere

"Loitering"? In the post office, if any authorized personnel (or security force personnel) instruct you to leave, you are required to comply. 39 CFR § 232.1(d). Violation risks a $5,000 fine and 30 days in federal prison, plus the same for whatever other violations prompted the ejection (e.g., photography without permission). The police many also legally arrest a trespasser who has violated the rules of those managing the property, under most circumstances. Similarly, filming in Walmart can get you arrested.
