Of course it's uber-disappointing to go out like that in the semis, but let's keep perspective, two seasons ago we were in a relegation battle effectively with the same players. Unai's win rate is miles above anything Villa have ever seen before and we are very lucky to have him. I hope he wins some silverware during his stay with us.

Dude Olympiacos had changed 4 coaches and was too much points from the top on January.Mendilibar deserves this title just because he came back from a 4-1 loss with a 6-1.I am not even gonna count his rest games till today with Olympiacos.

All Tottenham has to do, essentially, is draw against Man City and they will have us beat to CL. And all the people ignoring our poor play the second half of this year will suddenly wake up from their stupor and realize we were lucky to qualify for Europa League. Chelsea, United, and Newcastle will be back next year (teams we couldn't beat this year) and they will be stronger and we will have to deal with that if changes aren't made. The wheels aren't coming off. They've been off.

Disappointed but still a great season. Not going to lie i was disappointed seeing a 541 set up last night. It keeps control of the ball but its very slow and doesn't get the goals. And then somehow we can't keep a clean sheet with it. Fingers crossed we can get a point as i think thats all we need.

Tried there best! a few player's looked burned out.Perhaps we will meet again in champions league,with a fit squad and new additions,might be a different story.Footnote,hats off to Villa for the modest 5% Season ticket increase.😊

Extremely proud of the team getting to a European semi finals, unfortunately it wasn't to be. UTV!!!

We've seen this type of play a lot recently. Ball possession. Trying to lull teams to defeat. Again we had problems in the middle of the field with McGinn and Luiz. That 4-4-2 was super confusing to me. Bailey and Ollie have no connection running the show up top. Also, Olympiacos is not a quality team. I'm sorry, they just aren't. I appreciate their fans and what they are, their awesome love for the game and for their team... However, Aston Villa has to look at this as more of an embarrassment than anything. We'll move on from this, but the players Olympiacos have, the league they play in, they players we have, the league we play in... we've got to be honest about this... we played down to their level and were utterly and unequivocally beaten. Defeats can come from anywhere and any team, but at our level and at this moment, it's just not acceptable to lose to a team like Olympiacos. Our standard is higher now, and I think this shows changes need to be made if we're going to grow.

We are a long way off competing in the champions league when we struggle to compete at the lowest levels of European competition. Maybe finishing 5th and playing in the Europa league would be a blessing in disguise

He got Villareal to the semi finals of the CL, we have had a ton of injuries all year which has meant we couldn't rotate players at all which has left them all running on empty. Get into the CL and hopefully suffer less horrible injuries next year and we will be fine.

Ive no problem with losing but we went out with a wimper. No fight no desire, no passion = no hope, we need to move players on who ain't doing it and I cannot see us winning again this season because we are a one trick pony.

Shows the lack of depth in our squad given the long term injuries and such. Players look tired and some are cruising, disappointing end to an amazing season. UTV
