Post-match reactions from the 2nd game of our women's WPL campaign in 2024.
Raeka Ee was at the double again for the second match in a row, and her brace led our Sailors to a crucial 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Albirex Niigata (S).
It was nice seeing our former players Lila, Ernie and Izzati on the pitch again, but that also meant this Albirex side was stronger than it had ever been, and there was bound to be some edge. In an intensely physical game where both teams gave their all in front of a crowded Jalan Besar audience, Raeka's predatory instincts proved vital.
It was a game that attracted many supporters, and we spoke to Zach and Chin Heng after the game. Zach is Tia's father, so it was nice to hear a father's perspective as well!
