Post went full Dave Grohl(great frontman), Travis went full Dave Grohl(animal drumming), the rest of the band went full Dave Grohl(unsung). Kurt watched this and loved it.

Seattle here, 52yr old, I was here in the city, through all of it.. Tad, Green River, Screaming Trees, PJ, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana. I love this. I literally have never listened to Post. These are just dudes playing music that they love. So good. Love, love, love.

I’m a huge Post Malone fan, I’m a huge Nirvana fan, what in the world did I just witness here? This has to be the best Nirvana tribute I’ve ever heard in my life!

I’m actually really staggered that Post has such a low opinion of his natural singing voice. Sure, it’s not “conventionally” good, but there’s so much passion and raw aggression in it that it’s perfect. Dude’s a real one.

You want to know something funny? Post has mentioned that he will do go in to rock in the future, but he is using rap to pay the bills and he is also enyoing it though. But he is effectively using a super mainstream plattform to prepare to sling himself into the not so mainstream further ahead. He just want's to cover all his angles first. So you're not far of!

So I remember watching this live with my now wife. Both of us were aware of Post Malone but didn’t know a single song or anything by him. We thought we’d give this a shot and both of us were pleasantly surprised. Both of us being huge Nirvana fans saw this and thought it was one of the best tributes. He didn’t try to sound like Kurt and was himself. Such a cool tribute that I find myself coming back too view often.

Just discovered this set today and I never knew I needed Post playing a full Nirvana set until now. Absolutely crushed it 🔥

Something tells me Post Malone wanted to do this concert for a long time, and with this whole quarantine happening, found the the perfect time and reason to do it. Props to this guy, and props to his band too.

In another lifetime Post Malone would have been the frontman of a successful rock band. He's a rapper today because that's what the music industry necessitates.

therealgoody it would be cool if he could bring some energy back to the current rock scene which, I feel like is dying. When I was in high school we had so much new and good rock music coming out - system of the down, korn, deftones, etc. Everything lately is disappointing. Maybe it’s just me?

@@wallboi7 THIS! All the parents listen to rock. It's their culture. The youth just like in the past rebelled against parents and hip hop is the counter culture overall. Hip hop is beginning to have more rock elements with popular artists as of late. It's interesting for sure.

His natural voice is much better than autotune.. So he should make a rock album !!

its 2023 and i still go back to this stream to have my fix of Nirvana medley. One of the best rendition ive watched. kudos and props to Post. Hes a generational talent. Pundits of Rap can get their talent hold up on one genre for all we care. This guys not bounded by precepts of musical limitation, that makes him a legend already.

I can not stop promoting Post Malone's talent. He not only supported a good cause, but he channeled Kurt Cobain's love for supporting women with wearing the dress, but he rocked the cover songs-- even I don't know most of the lyrics and I've been a fan since the 90s.

I can't believe I"m only now seeing this video. I'm a Nirvana fan and I don't really follow many bands/musicians who came out after the 90s but I'm a fan of Post Malone's personality because I've seen him as a Mythical guest several times 😅 I loved this whole thing and the tribute to Kurt with the dresses as well as the music.

As someone who was 16 years old when this album was released, I officially approve of this video. End transmission.

Barker and Posty together was unbelievable to watch

I’m impressed at how Travis actually stays true to Grohls original drumming and doesn’t add his own spin and busy it up. I love barkers style but these songs are so iconic I don’t think more drum fills would do them any favors and I guess Travis agreed.

After Teen Spirit got big, Nirvana played the song way less frequently after the initial tour for the album, so hearing it not be played was a good thing. As well as the starting song being "Frances Farmer will have her revenge on Seattle"

It seems like not many people have listen to Post Malones album Beerbongs and Bentleys. It's a master piece from start to finish💯. This is just the icing on the cake for proof he is an amazingly talented individual.
