I'm not really a Purdue fan but I do have a lot of respect for Mr. Painter. He's a darn good man as well as Coach. He gives credit where credit is due. I hope you all make it to the final four. Get that monkey off your back. I will be rooting for you bc after all you do represent the state of Indiana. Good Luck!!

father was a boilermaker, sister is an all american boiler maker, he knows more than anyone to earn your spot, i don’t think the situation is as bad as you think

After the win at Iowa Painter spoke to the team about how winning is hard and a lot of guys are making sacrifices so that this team can win. I am not in the locker room. So I can’t speak for Painter, but I’m interpreting that those “guys” mainly means Berg, Colvin, Waddell, and Furst. Those four deserve way more minutes and there just aren’t enough minutes to go around. For Berg and Colvin especially, they are still early in their careers. Their times will come. They are part of the future and I expect will be key reasons as to why there will not be a huge drop off next season despite losing several key players, including Edey (unless he returns.) With arguments like this, the notion as if we fans on the outside looking in could possibly know better than the coaches and players is ridiculous and potentially toxic. Please, let’s leave that to the coaching staff and players to figure out. It is literally their job. Our job is to just support them and enjoy the ride. So let’s please focus on doing that.
