Was the river rerouted at some time to go under the track and thru the infield? I was there a lot in the 60s and there were 2 small lakes in the infield and I don’t think the river passed thru there. I am thinking it was south of the back stretch. I have seen water run across the west end of the track, but I don’t think it was from the river, just runoff from behind the parking area after a hard rain.

@@jimskinner9234 No. The river is where it has always been. They enlarged the track and so the turns go over the river.

It really sounds like you live in a river. Don't wanna get wet? Get out of the river.

@@ZiaAnnouncer You folks living inside a river sound really ridiculous discussing what part of the river is driest and wettest. Have you not noticed that folks that don't live inside of rivers have no such problems?

In case folks haven't noticed, that's a river. When you live inside a river you can't call it a flood. It's just a river. Water runs through it. That's what rivers do. If that's a problem for folks, they can always rebuild outside of the river. Like on higher ground rather than in the river bed. That way, when the water flows through the river as it's known to do, folks won't have all their stuff washed down river. It's fairly common knowledge not to build in the river bed. Stay safe, savants.
