I agree with Joyce: bring back the jury system for guest acting categories, and bring back separate categories for variety performers. ... And I could be wrong, but I think the Daytime Emmys once limited the number of performers you could nominate per show. That might be similar to how the Oscars, at times, have limited the number of songs you could submit for each movie.
Seriously, no mention of Michaela Coel at all from either of you? Best win of the night and best speech of the night.
If the Academy eliminated "the fly" and "the Tom Brady" sketches, they wouldn't have to play people off. Clips will always win out over ridiculous comedic bits. Was Emma Corrin wearing a swim cap?!!!
I think the problem was the award after Debbie Allan. The guy just would not stop talking!

Thank goodness, Scott Frank didn't win his 2nd Emmy - for writing ''The Queen's Gambit'' - or else the telecast would still be going on.

I thought The Crown S5 is returning in 2022.
