Hi, thank you for the tutorial ! Some additonal information from my experience : - If you don't have a construction site nearby, you can use some rough mortar which looks pretty close to the dust in the video. You can buy some for cheap at home improvement stores. - I had bad experience with paint : the dust wasn't adhering to it, and I ended with a clothing just full of big stains of paint. It probably depends on the kind of paint. So i switched to white glue (cheap at art or stationary shops), which is way more sticky and turn to transparent when drying. It was way better, except it made my cloth a little more rigid. And remember to keep your paint/glue layer thin, or it will form some kind of mud which will crackle and fall after dry. Hope it will help !

Would you ever reccomend using controlled burning as a method of texturizing fabric for a post-apocalyptic LARP? Like using a lighter or a hot piece of metal to give it that scorched, "survived some shit" look, on top of the shredding and dirtying?

Hey, my partner and I will be starting a post apocalypse LARP and are looking to make that grunge look. However, I am worried if we run our clothes through the wash (wouldn’t use the dryer) that it would take out the grunge. We def have to wash after every event since it is combat heavy. Anyone have any experience? Great vid guide!

Hey mate - cool tutorials you're doing. I was wondering though, the last version with the paint - both applied with hand and spray, isn't it going to partly wash out in rainy weather? Loved the tutorial, I'm working on getting my first outfit together right now and am going to try this soon, but I'm finding it really difficult to find clear spraypaint- the only things I can really find are anti-polish sprays, varnishes or water and dirt resistant sprays, but I don't imagine those would do the job well. Do you have anything that could help me find the spray, maybe what it's called in German?

First off let me just say his tutorial really helped me. Like alot. It's even better because I've seen your pictures and work online and you actually make your own videos. Which is awesome! But Dimitri, how to you keep your clothe/gauntlet on your right arm? Also how does your jacket remains stay on your shoulders without spinning around? Do you still have sleeves on it? Thanks again! *Hope this info helps some of the questions asked below* The spray he is using is called "clear coat" it's a type of matte (not gloss) spray paint that helps seal in the dirt/white powder. The white stuff (haha, white stuff) isn't a paint, it's actually like talcom powder. Like he says as long as its a non organic substance it can be used and not mold.

the right arm bandage is..a complicated thing really :D spent an entire day making it, cant really expalin with words.. its basically wrapped belts and other stuff, held in place by presusre and clips . hard to explain the outfit stays on my shoulders because its fixated to my backpack (which is a part of the outfit :) .. but it also works without that , and the left sleeve is still intact anyway, so..
