I love how mom's just doing her thing, wandering around... and the babies meanwhile are crawling all over her! So adorable!

My cat brought one home on her back, we ended up keeping the baby. I was heart broken after 3 years when Monk the possum died. I would later find out that the type of possum she was should only live for around 2 years, so we gave her the best possible life she could have gotten. My partner thinks since our cat had just had kittens around the time she brought her home, maybe she thought the back hugging baby was just a weird kitten. Nature is bizarre and incomprehensible at times.

I love 💗💗 possums. I have a wild one that comes around each night for dinner. Meat, fruit and some cat/dog food. If you see one please help it. They are so beneficial to our planet. 💗💗

Vicki L it’s pretty easy for them to fall off when the mom is climbing around and they are all over her. It happened in my yard too.

Hi Kelly! I certainly hope so, truly; but I don't know. I'm one of the few (it seems) that has come around to loving 'possums. They've never done me wrong and have provided scores of hearty laughs through the years with their antics.
