Turn that center island into an island/eating bar area with high chairs and rid of that table to allow a more flowing path in the back. 😉

I'd rather have a table in the middle and some shortage with shorter windows on the side.

This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice kzread.infoUgkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnOmZm and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.

This was absolutely one of the sweetest dwellings I have ever seen!

So cool, do-able, simple and elegant..love the covered porch...just wonderful.

Love this tiny house, especially the deck!

I just purchased a tiny home.. this has tons of ideas for me to use, including color schemes. Love!

Nice! The only thing I would change is having the washer and dryer in the bathroom instead of in the bedroom. Or if you can’t do that then at least cover it with a door or something.

I agree with another commenter, turn the island into bar with seating, ax the table. And I'm not crazy about laundry in the bedroom.

This is gorgeous for a small family. The only thing I'd want different is to have the Tv/ fireplace and window to its right swapped. Window where the TV is. I get the chair is there with a window on each side but the fireplace with TV was too close to the counter for my liking I feel like I'd somehow knock it while cooking. Super lovely though 💖💖💖 I want it!

Even when my kids were still at home i don’t think i ever used more than two burners of the stove, and i am a passionate cook who makes everything possible from scratch. Two burner stoves is something not just mobile tiny home designers need to consider. As for the island with no chairs, unless you are a child, or well under thirty, years of age, regularly sitting at a counter is pretty risky to back health. High chairs are designed to promote back injury, with feet hanging and putting pressure on vulnerable spine, back and neck. The separate table is the way to go, but folding chairs and a table that folds or partially folds, would allow more space for moving around in the walking spaces. It needs to be a home convenient to live in, first, if we plan to live “tiny”. Otherwise, all these tiny homes will just end up in a junk pile adding to our overflowing waste.

@@ripolones sorry that happened to you, truly. I am an active 79 year old with a passion for finding that tiny affordable home for folks like me. My comments were not meant as insult, but real life suggestions to builders of those homes, and to be honest, a comment re another comment about eliminating the table and using tall chairs at a counter. Obviously, i have some personal experience, and therefor bias, re the damage tall chairs can do. I like the choice of table and chair instead. In fact, i like the house, just not what i need, and general suggestions about design. I hope you are able to resolve the unlawful use of your photos! Jean

Yep! That's the small house I've been thinking about. I'd add a mud room (south dakota) and a staircase outside going on to a flat roof party deck. I love it.

Nicely done! Instead of big side porch, I would need to make the main floor bedroom(s) larger and have large closets. The loft bedroom needs storage cupboards too.

At least you don't have to go far to put the laundry away.

That looks overly cramped for 3-4 people to live in and where do the people upstairs keep clothing and personal things. I get tiny homes ok but pushing things like this size for 3-4 your being overly optimistic.

The only thing I do not like is it's not senior friendly it has stairs my knees were shot when they elevator went in this place went down two weeks I still bruising over it

I can go down stairs slowly, hanging on to a rail, but no going up stairs for me anymore.

Wish the shower curtain had been pulled back. Who cares about the decorating? More interested in the overall layout. This is a beautiful tiny house. Love the porch!
