I had the privilege of actually seeing these trucks about 2 or 3 times a week during development. There is nothing like seeing these trucks pulling trailer loads of K rails up Yarnell hill. Absolutely phenomenal pulling power, I was there to see them roll coal up that mountain and it was a sight. Dodge worked these and worked them extremely hard. 125 percent impressive.
I've got a 91 that you oughta see and my brother has a 92 that looks like it came out of a time capsule. Both trucks are a absolute 10 out of 10.

Got a 93 Cummins 5 speed with 463000 miles on it same factory turbo and transmission still towed a 45ft 5th wheel no problem. Bought it brand new
1991 had it since 1999, Second owner and would never sell it. it is now 2022 and the pickup has 325,865 miles. the Cummins engine going strong. No oil leaks, No burning, No blow-by, can set the oil fill cap on the tube and it doesn't move. and NO RUST. Original 727 went 295,000 miles. 21MPG on the highway, 15.6 towing, front end first rebuild all bushings etc. at 320,000 miles, let go of the steering wheel -slam on the brakes, straight and true. Fantastic Pickup would love to own the cherry red/white one in this video. GO DODGE
I have a 91.5 4x4 automatic 500,000 + miles on it all orig.
Love the old look and so straight and strong they will go anywhere just a thing of beauty

@@SparksMotorsCo beautiful truck. Recently started looking for one of these. Anything I should be looking for as far as red flags with motor and transmission? Thanks for the great content!
This 1st Gen looks absolutely amazing, it's a beast.
I could sit and listen the history of these engines all day. I’ve had a 12v and 24v 2nd Gen. Currently have an early third gen but all I want is a manual first gen. The turbo scream shifting gears on a 12v is one of the best sounds ever. I remember a left hand turn I would take to get to work in the ‘94 with a vinyl fence and slamming through the gears to hear that turbo between gears. Dream truck to say the least
I would love to drive this truck. We're driving it as a everyday driver. That is a beautiful peace artwork in my book.

@@greggreen6636 I put the hydro boost from a 90's chevy one ton on mine and larger rear wheel cylinders, and deleted the RWAL unit. Used the PS pump from a later dodge. Used all the stock chevy hoses works great. Converted to crossover steering as well, which is greatly improved the week spots on my 1st gen. When you delete the vacuum pump you have to provide a VAC source for the AC vents a small pump from a Powerstroke does the job. I have pictures if your interested.
I had one, drove like a tank, but I got to say this one doesn't give me that big rig feeling without that signature ram hood ornament.
Noooo not the battery in the oceaaaan...😆

Love the throwback to OBS and classic engine. Now do one of these videos with a 7.3
Wow what a awesome truck, I love the lines on this old timer and look what's under the hood. This Dodge would be a great every day truck. And it would be great for pulling a trailer. I wish I could own this beautiful truck.
Man. This truck is MINT!!! What a gem for sure. Well done and Merry Xmas guys.
I can't drive a manual. Just never got enough of a chance. Dad wasn't patient. I did drive my grandpa's old '48 Ford PU that had 3 on the wheel (just in the hayfield before I was a teen). My first car was a '57 Chevy Belair sedan, "the green tank." I've been driving my dad's '93 Chevrolet PU since he passed, but not much now due to Chemo treatments that make it unsafe for me (numbness in hands & feet). It looks like crap inside & out, but it runs good & will probably outlast me. I really like older vehicles, especially trucks.
I love these shop talk videos. Do more of theses.
I saw one of these brand new on the lot just after Christmas of 1992. I've loved them ever since.
Hot damn! That truck looks like my next daily. Well... Maybe I wont have one in that great of shape at first. Nice rig bro. Thanks for sharing with us. This video probably raised the value of first Gens by 10% haha.

I’m 26 and am glad I learned about Cummins these trucks are the best I would pick A first gen as my ultimate dream truck all day I do own 4 first gens right now just love these trucks they drive great and just nothing beats a 12 valve Cummins sound Great drives like a beast and just fun to Drive also whenever you pull up to an up car scene or any place they break necks 💨👌🏻🍀
Duuuuude! That thing is sick! I LOVE the first gen Cummins, would do some sketchy things to get one that clean!
I had that same truck and loved it. I’ve had 3 other dodge trucks with the cummins, you right the ONLY reason I’ve bought dodge was for the cummins. That’s a beautiful truck.
Well the first gens are nice but don't forget about 1998 2nd gen 12 valve p-pumped with opening rear doors half year option only now that's a truck...bottom line is that if you own a 12 valve Cummins think hard before you sell it. ..

I own two and will never sell. It really is a tossup between the 1st and 2nd gen 12valves. Depending on what you’re after. 2nd gen is more refined and has p-pump for power. 1st gen has ve pump for better mileage, in 4wd it also has a kingpin Dana 60 and np205 gear driven t case.
Wow what a grand machine and not to long either. This is a good looking truck!!
This truck is so perfect, Cummins, square body, 4x4 and M/T🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Have a 1989 non-intercooled d350 with 918,730 on the odo and the girl still gets up every morning without hesitation to get some work done 😁
Would love one of the 1st gen, had a 2nd gen should have never sold it.

Back in the 90's I worked at a caterpillar dealership and they were working on shoving a cat into a dodge. Took them awhile, and they finally got one to fit a 4wd dually. It's was a beast at the time...it never transpired as we see today.
Had one as a work truck back in 99. We would pull a big wheel trencher up Laramie pass with it. Game Changer for the small shop!
I wishI had that truck......perfection at it's BEST!
That is a beautiful truck. Always wanted a 1stgen.
Love the truck I love the 12 valve vary vary sick and clean
I love my 93 first gen! Just about to turn over 200k! Still running like a champ!

Wow 200k is nothing. Sounds like a great truck
My grandfather had one almost exactly like that one.. its absolutely beautiful
Sweet full of history don’t get better Then that
I remember in 1990 a farmer having one. he said would haul cattle, set the cruse and it would hardly drop.
Would absolutely love to have this truck. It reminds me of my first truck 1988 l e 150 half ton short bed standard cab.
That truck is a dream.
Had a 91 that when I parked it had 1.3 Million on it . Never turned a bolt on the motor .
I have a 92 w350 manual trans with the banks power pack. It's was bought off the lot by my grandpa and was the truck I learned how to drive with. My grandpa was an engineer and washed it probably everytime he took it out of the garage. It's cleaner than this one with the custom interior bucket seats. Just need to touch up the paint a little bit
Would be cool to get more of these shop talk videos.

Love my first gen. 800,000 miles
Man I'd die to get one of those trucks man haha I've driving beaters all my life man yall do amazing things keep it up
That's a beautiful truck
I have one of these, W350, Cummins, and it's my project. Someday it will look like this one. I would disagree, on the RPM, with a GOV spring to 3200 and the five speed really works well.
Awsome truck. I know a guy with a extra cab dually 93 5spd 2wd has 68k miles he keeps it tucked away.
qué belleza de camioneta me encanta Seve espectacular y con clase 👍😊
Nice looking old truck. I love dodge trucks
I got a 2019 but wanted that truck. Hard to find clean, oh my lord I love that truck
Beautiful truck, love the mechanical engine.
I really need this truck to pull my trailer.
this is a very beautiful truck 😘❤️
I have this in my rv. The head was cracked on the exhaust manifold and the dowel pin just about fell out.I also sleeved the crank. Other than that solid engine.
Yup thanks for the info gentlemen👊😎
Beautiful Truck
That is a beautiful truck,
Dang that's nice and clean👌
I drove a Dodge Neon for 14 years. She was a beast of a car, we killed multiple snowstorms together, bald tires just gave me lessons on sliding and driving in response. I’m driving an 08 Ranger now (Hey Bud, Team Ranger!!!) with 4WL which means I could give zero effs about driving in snow. That OG truck just looks so friggin sweet. I just don’t know how to drive a stick, sadly. I asked my ex to teach me, many years ago, because he had a stick shift, but he only ever let me shift gears from the passenger seat. Which taught me nothing.
My pops used to drive a 84 Dodge Ram my whole life iam born in 93 this is my dream truck bought some shirts trying to win love this truck
Beautiful!
I am a 2nd gen guy but damn that truck makes me want to buy a 1st gen.
Sick truck
Man I remember those all ways wounted one but mom was a bow tie person and now I have two dodges both gas burners but my 88 is a stout truck to be a two weak dr auto I can still crawl in and work on it
The truck is beautiful.😍
Best part of this video it’s American made!.. this truck just says freedom all over it.. good luck to everyone who entered 🤘🏼🤘🏼. I’ll be crossing my fingers on this one that’s for sure.. I’ll probably stop driving my 4th gen if I won 😂😂 but really good luck everyone
So clean💯💯💯
Hell yeah brother 1st GENERATION IS KING 👑👑

DAVE! I really need that AWESOME Dodge Pickem Up to be in my driveway for the summer of '22!!! Help a Marine out could ya? So many goodies in one package

Ive got a P-pumped ‘93 W250, owned for 17 years… with so many mods, NV-4500…keep ur eyes on eBay guys ❤️💛💚
Sweet Truck
My dad had a 91 day cab. It was our farm truck for years.
Awesome history lesson
That’s a fine truck
The 1st gen body style was produced from 1972-1993. As far as gas powerplants: slant6,318,360,383,400,440. There was an option I believe in the late 70's for a small diesel engine but I have never seen one in person.

They had a 2.3L Mitsubishi diesel before the 5.9. Very rare...but it wasn't an actual dodge truck, nor a full sized truck either.
Nice truck. I have a 97 5.9 12v that I wished I could get some help on getting back on the road.
Those are all over the place where I live. Probably see 4 or 5 a day when in town. Their all beat up farm trucks with flat beds though.
For a walking computer he should be able to get his numbers right on the new trucks.
Right now I’m detailing a 91 for when i get my license. It was my dads prized possession
Is this the giveaway this month? I like the look of this truck!

@@SparksMotorsCo let me know what it ends up being. I have a 2018 Cummins that I am still paying on and it don't do too bad. only 38,000 -39,000 on it. had 8 miles on it when bought. Ive put side steps bed cover and bigger tires on it so far along with my DP decals on the back window.
Damn. That dude is tall.
Second I saw that truck I had to enter to win instantly! My dream would be for that to be in my driveway!!!!!
Good stuff.
I have a 92 4x4 5 speed. It has a flatbed but the body is a 9.5/10. The thing is a beast and I throw 10k on a gooseneck trailer behind her regularly and let it eat. If someone offered me a brand new Cummins for it, I would pass. I’ll keep the ol girl any day
The cockroach of all early diesels. 🤙🏻 It'll outlive any truck! PERIOD.
