This is also known as positron emission or beta plus decay, and it is another type of radioactive (nuclear) decay, along with alpha, beta, and electron capture. It affects the number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus, and causes a positron (a positively charged electron) to be released from the nucleus. Here, I give a review and introduction, and then do practice example problems.
