Good video folks. It's interesting that the groundbait (crush and F1original) and pellets are all light in colour when most people advocate dark/ black groundbait in the colder months. what is the thinking behind that please?

Hi Jamie I’m fairly new to match fishing I mostly do carp fishing but recently got given a tone of match gear and just wondered if the Matrix Torpue carp 4.5m pole would be ideal for a beginner????

They'll take about 2 hours to fully soak up the water and be in the form Jamie shows if doing them on the day of a session but ideally level cover with cold water and leave them in the fridge overnight- they will be perfect in the morning.

Nearly all of our anglers have a certain way they start a video. 😅 Feels weird when they do it differently! 🤣

I'm starting to realise as I become more experienced that Jamie Hughes talks in riddles a little bit. Nothing is meaningful or quite relates to anything else and you can hear him a lot of times realising hes going to tell you something meaningful and stops himself from saying what is actually happening with his tactics. "decrease/increase my chances" "just catching one" " go for it" "catch half a dozen " clear it out" " pick the catty up" "try the other line" "massively notable in the summer or winter" "if youre fishing for carp, in the summer" "they rock up" He says it himself, it is quite a lot of waffle. Weirdest one is from 25:40 "setting a trap, cattying over the top, create noise, I'm not gonna feed much, I won't feed, get them responding to that, speed everything up, with this type of feeding, much much better chance of the big ones rocking up, Get things going as quick as possible, pinging a few four mils". I mean someone explain that to me ??? Good example on this vid is when he starts talking about that first fish he hooks into, he starts saying how the fish have responded slowly....... but quickly refers it to the size of the fish. I think what he was probably about to say was that he has immediately worked out that the fish are feeding but are more likely to respond to loose feed and negative. But he didn't really go with that, just sounds a bit odd to me. I understand he has to protect his art but if so then don't make videos like this. Its a bit/lot confusing.

Hi John, 4mm's into a tub, level cover with cold water so the pellets are just peaking through. (A pint of pellets is plenty for a session). Then into the fridge or left somewhere cold overnight.
