Summary: Hit vector v with matrix A we get the new vector v'. Now if angle between v and v' is <= 90' which means it doesn't changes direction it means its positive semi definite and if its < 90'(see its strictly less no equal sign) then its positive definite matrix. great video

Dot product between matrix A and the vector?! Not sure if I follow... so you mean A.x is a dor product with a result that is a scalar, let's call it S, and If S>0 then A is positive definite?! I thought we had to do xAx to get that scalar S!
