Positional Grunfeld against Svidler | Cheparinov - Svidler | World Rapid

Cheparinov uses Bg5 line, which is not the main weapon against grunfeld but seen in such rapid and blitz event often. This is very positional approach not forcing the events, and keeping lots of play for middle game. Svidler is very well prepared but some work still has to be done.

Captivating game, especially the end, it's spectacular as Svidler manages to counterattack at the end of the game!

Not a model grunfeld game. Blacks last few moves starting with c4 were born out of desperation.

He’s like playing the game in his head and not looking at the board. He’s in a self-induced trace at times. Weird dude!
