Great video Denise. Thank you for the tip. I don't think I'm quite ready for anything this advanced yet. I did my first show on Saturday. Was supposed to be next week, but I decided to rip the bandaid off :) Parts of it were a disaster and parts of it were great. I did make 2 sales, so YAY! - Video suggestion, where to click during the show on the app to do the various tasks. Things I had trouble with were adding a quick list while I was live, pulling into the tray and deleting from the tray. Also, when ending the show, sending my viewers to another show. I figured it out but these are things that I haven't really seen in the how to videos. Just an idea for you, since you did such a great job with this How To. Have a great Day!

I can certainly do those tasks while screen recording! Thanks for suggesting. I personally know how to delete from the tray, but it's hard for some reason on my iPad (maybe because I have a paperlite for writing on my screen)

Thank you Denise for providing us with this great, informative video. I will definitely be trying out the unlisted post method when I am approved to start selling on live shows. I have about 40 items of NWT activewear (same brand) and want to use this method with my SKU numbers. Love your videos and especially love how you actually take us inside a show and how it works. Yes, this method will be perfect for you! I see the value in saving all of the time. I couldn't find anywhere a how-to create a listing like this, so I wanted to share what I learned from trial and error. I am glad I took the extra step in showing what it looks like when you are live! I will do some recording of what my device looks like the next time I go live, so people can become familiar.

I finally got approved to sell live! I’m waiting on a few supplies (ring light, shipping supplies, etc.) I’m overwhelmed with inventory and just want to unload personal inventory of quality items. Can you help me please?

This is awesome information. By chance can you share how the other unlisted ad appears in the live? The ad where you just set the quantity to 50. How do those numbers appear?

I'm not 100% certain what you mean by "ad" where you set the quantity to 50. The unlisted items is a LISTING, just like any regular closet listing- you create it the exact way you create a new item for sale in your closet. The numbers appear as sizes for that listing, since you can have one listing with multiple items and the multiple can be different sizes. I would recommend holding a few live shows to get a sense of things, before dabbling in the unlisted style listing if there is any confusion from watching my video.

I am doing the "size" option for my pallet show and I was wondering if an item doesn't sell for the particular number I amm showing, do I keep using the same number until something sells or does it automatically cross it out?

@@smac959 If an item doesn’t sell the number is still available because it’s a manual system, one you have to track. The number only goes away if there is a sale associated with it.

I use a phone with a tripod because I don't have any setup for a laptop to sit on at over 5 feet high to use the camera, I do keep my laptop close by.

Hi love your videos, can you please make a video on how to do bundles on Live I want to start doing live shows but I’m so confused on how to do bundles as many people are saying to sell individually then cancel sales at the end of show & have buyer buy bundle in which I thought Poshmark still charges buyer tax on each cancellation. Many people are telling me different things can you please explain on how you bundle items on live. Thank you so much 🙏⭐️⭐️

Hi Brittany, Posh automatically bundles any items purchased by the same buyer. After one item is purchased, the buyer is not charged any more shipping and the 20% Posh fee just comes off the total- not by individual item. When Posh Lives first launched, there was a much more manual process as you describe. I don't have to cancel anything and the majority of my live sales are bundles. Also, no money is ever paid by the seller when a sale is canceled.

So it will show the item you have in your hand and not the listing photo? I've only done silent shows, but I want to try this.

So are you needing a 3rd device to do the screen shot ofr you do that for yourself from the laptop?

No you don’t “need” a third device. There’s no need for you to screenshot if you use the number system. It’s for the buyer. Also you can screenshot from your phone live if you desire.

The only thing I'm confused about is when you put size custom one, two, three, four and so on are those sizes of clothes or are you using those for the number of clothes like item number one item number two or size 2, size 12 etc? Thanks for all the information you did great

the numbers have nothing to do with the size, it is the item you are selling, item number 1, item number 2, it's your job to track what that actual item is people are bidding on. If you are new to live shows, I suggest selling items that are listed in your closet until you learn how to run a live show comfortably.

You have a device running your camera and you open your computer, it doesn't take anything more.

not necessarily to your followers, but you can go to "my shoppers" and leave. a bundle message to previous buyers or people who have liked an item in your closet. For your first show, definitely have a live show post ready for people to like, then in the future they will be notified.

Thank you…. One question. So if I go to Sell an unlisted item that I have, for example, #2 two, and the item doesn’t sell, I can keep using the #2 as an auction until something sells? Then I would move on to the #3?…. I hope you know what I mean. Thank you! Very helpful 😊

A number won't be available if it sells. If you don't sell two for a sweater, move onto the next item and run it as the same number. Only you will know what number an item is that sells, so make sure to record what you sold for that number.

Sorry to hear it, I’ve never heard of Posh removing unlisted items posting before. There are too many variables with listings for me to understand why.

How do you do the accounting? How do you know the actual amount your items sold for so you can do profit/loss analysis and to report to the IRS?

Poshmark issues a 1099 every year! It’s your job to do the accounting on cost of goods and fees you pay to posh.

I'm sorry, but I meant if all your live show items appears in your Poshmark sold items at $99, how does the amount they actually sold for get reported on your Poshmark sales report. Does it show the actual amount it sold for or $99?. If you sold an item listed for $99 for $10 in reality would it show up on your PM sales report as $10 for $99? BTW, great video!!@@EatPlayLoveCO

It's the nature of buying live, there is no accurate description to go off of, that's why using the numbers and a notebook is a good tracking method for sellers. Another strategy is to hold up the item at the moment of sold and have the buyer screen shot what they bought, as a buyer protection piece for them. The majority of people that shop live aren't as particular as closet shoppers, so I am able to sell a lot of items that need fixing during live shows!

I set up my life, but I don't have the same options, like doing the multiple listings, etc

It's something you have to manually create like I show how to do in the video, It's not a setting or something that unlocks for you. It's a process everyone can do, if you follow the steps.

Question, can you pre number items for 1 listing say 1-10 and then auction that size so it is already numbered? Like size 1 doesn’t sell but size 5 does it would already be numbered 5? Going live tomorrow and that seems less messy to me but wasn’t sure if that was an option

If you run a scarf as #1 and it doesn’t sell, you move onto the next item. Then you run a pair of shoes as #1. Since it’s unlisted, you simply write down what you sold for #1. It doesn’t make sense to assign numbers to items that don’t sell. Other wise you should just make quick listings.

Honestly if you are new to live shows I would load your tray with listed items until you learn the ins and outs of live selling. Once you have it down, explore unlisted live selling.

@@mickiwhitacre1464 there’s a quick list feature in your tray, after you create your show. You don’t have to use photos. You click it and populate the title and category and size. I do highly recommend trying to sell items you have listed in your closet as a % of what you are selling live for people to get a sense of what you are selling, versus all unlisted. You have to be very captivating to keep ppl in the room with unlisted items. What’s there incentive to wait around if you don’t have their size etc.

That all makes sense! I find some items harder to photograph so I was hoping to use those as my unlisted. I agree though, I will try to add more today to my closet and really use my first show to get use to things. Thanks!

Hello! I’ve tried watching the video and I’ve added up to 159 item and save them individually. Once I come out and go to my closet and then to my unlisted post from my closet it only shows 59.

I’ve sold hundreds of items live and I’ve never had a return. It’s typically a space where talking about a piece helps the buyer understand the condition etc (referred to as “callouts”). I also save flawed pieces to sell live. Sorry I can’t speak to how posh handles a return if it’s unlisted!
