@Κρις Κρος oh I never knew this and from what I've heard about Greek Mythology I kinda expect the Greek gods to be like that. But from my limited Knowledge out of the 3 brothers Hades is the best guy.

Don't get me wrong, but I know Poseidon can be moody and such. But in Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, Poseidon mostly cares about his son mostly. When I saw Poseidon and Zeus meeting up with each other, i heard Poseidon said: You're accusing my son? I haven't seen him since he was a baby, he doesn't know me and doesn't know much because of you. And then Zeus said: If he is the thief, I'll sent him to the pits of Tartarus. And then Poseidon grabs him by his jacket aggressively. And he said: You touch him, you'll have to go through me. When I saw them doing that. I thought they were about to going at each other. But I was wrong.

lol love that ranting bit, and hope you've gotten better neighbors since then. love this stuff and look forward to more content! there's so much information packed into these lil episodes. I wasn't aware that there were so many other deities that were affiliated with the ocean, but since Poseidon titled himself as the god of the sea, its much easier calling on the memorable titled god than calling on to the other thousands who seem to be easily forgotten. love it!

In Ancient Greek Religion/now Mythology Zeus is the strongest deity with only exceptions the Primordial Goddesses Ananke (force, constraint, necessity) and Heimarmene (in particular, the orderly succession of cause and effect, or rather, the fate of the universe as a whole, as opposed to the destinies of individual people). Some times we can see Poseidon or Hera defying him but only up to some level. When they are one step before the full rupture they step back.

He could never lose the Being of what is represented in his Essence, which is a depth that will never be fully lit. In this way, one could say he is 'more' powerful. This would misrepresent the idea, crucially, the infinite scope of that to be discovered, does not designate power, but only potential for realization of itself. This understanding... through Zeus, becomes apparent that the Light it more powerful, but it's illumination. Again, we would be arguing purpose here, and this is not necessary in the sense that that which is unknown, must become known. It isn't hard to see that interplay being of utmost importance here, and while knowledge reigns, there will always be something to learn.

Several ancient or classical texts mention that Zeus was the greatest and most powerful god, more powerful than Poseidon. In the Iliad, book 8, Zeus tells the other gods how powerful he is : "Come, try me, immortals, so all of you can learn. Hang a great golden cable down from the heavens, lay hold of it, all you gods, all goddesses too: you can never drag me down from sky to earth, not Zeus, the highest, mightiest king of kings, not even if you worked yourselves to death. But whenever I'd set my mind to drag you up, in deadly earnest, I'd hoist you all with ease, you and the earth, you and the sea, all together, then loop that golden cable round a horn of Olympus, bind it fast and leave the whole world dangling in mid-air- that is how far I tower over the gods, I tower over men." Zeus was known by other names in other places or regions in Antiquity.
