Portuguese in a Week: A Language Learning Documentary

To get the workbook Tony shows in the film, go to langmatrix.com. To learn Spanish with the two techniques explained in this film, go to baselang.com.
--
From the creators of the hit documentary, Spanish in a Month, comes the most ambitious project ever undertaken in language learning.
Connor, who learned Spanish in a month for the first film, and Adrian, who was his teacher, are now tackling Portuguese together in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Only this time, they won't be calling the shots.
They've enlisted the help of Tony Marsh, a language teacher whose clients include the US Navy and NATO. Marsh's method has never been revealed publicly, and it's two main principles will change how you approach language learning, forever.
Watch the documentary to find out what they are and see just how effective they can be - in this case, for learning Portuguese.

I'm Brazilian and I'm learning English by myself here in brazil. Everyday I spend as much as I can with the language and I believe doing this habit my English is improving so fast. If you are a native English speaker and you are learning Portuguese , you can talk to me on WhatsApp or skype.

I think because there are so many similar words in Portuguese than Spanish, it's no wonder he felt like in 4 days he was better than the end of the full month learning Spanish. Plus Portuguese is actually easier. Very impressed though, gives me alot of motivation to keep practicing Spanish. I will definitely be solidifying these techniques.

Great video. I have a couple of questions. Do you think that if you didn't already have Spanish under your belt then it would of been a completely different week? I want to learn Portuguese but I'm afraid that I'll get confused and lose some of my Spanish abilities, has this been the case for you? Were you able to keep the two separate?

aside from 'needing to learn' Portuguese because there wasn't anyone else who spoke English, that's a strong reason to learn as well, and l think that alone would suffice because you would try to talk to that person you like everyday and that'd spur you to learn

I don't understand the logic. Conjugations took me a day. Getting all the verbs you can use is all that is confusing me at the moment. Grammer isn't even all that difficult unless you make it. Granted, I heard Spanish a lot as a kid, my grandparents spoke it all the time, but I never knew it so that's besides the point. He could spend a week on grammer with a few words and then expand his vocabulary and training his ear for three more weeks and be okay. It would be much better to say things semi normally than say "I to write today". It would be better to make the occasional gaffe with the conjugation and people understand you meant "I write" than "wtf does he mean I to write"
