I love this show. However, I rarely agree with the judges. Today, they were spot on!
What incredible people these sitters are. So humble, so normal and emphasizing with their artists. It’s good to see that human care one for another.
Judges definitely got this one, RIGHT!!!
This was an enjoyable episode!
bare feet on a 'grubby' wall...geez what an insult...that is a wonderful painting with a great perspective!!!

If I had the money I would buy it in a shot. That and the one with the Black woman and the fabric.
Thank you so much for posting these videos.
None of the portraits of Sophie got the likeness. Maybe that is the problem with having a young, beautiful sitter!

Idk... Respond to pressure is more likely.
good choice, but could do without the fabric
I just adore Charles. :D

Who is Charles? Did you mean Giles?
love these videos. Unbelievable talent who deserve the opportunity to test themselves as artists. 😊

Today I totally agree with the judges.
I agree with the judges!
interesting episode. You could feel that the judges weren't as impressed with this group as they are sometimes. Still fascinating and entertaining as usual!

Yeah I was surprised a couple even got chosen to participate. But that is why it is important for artists to believe in themselves, as judges change, opinions are based on different backgrounds and preferences.

Sophie is a lovely, supportive sitter.
I'm inspired! Interested for the most part!

Once again, TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with the so-called judges' choice. Why, oh, why do I not turn off this show before the winner is announced? Masochistic, I guess. 😂😂😂

Kyle was my pick. What’s wrong with these judges
😵💫
how can you make Sophie ugly? but that's what they all did.
Hmmm... 🤔🧐
I miss the thumb-up at arm's length measurings for painting portraits. Didn't the master's do that?

No, they used camera obscura, mirrors and camera Lucinda.

It is in a thumbs up gesture, yes. But in artists’ terms it’s “pencil’s up”. With the aid of extending the arm and using the tip of the pencil and the tip of the thumb whilst using the eye, the artist uses this gesture to measure the subject to either the rule of heads, or up to their own devices of choosing measurement in the subject.

@@JustiisLeague Thank you for the crystal clear definition of the famous gesture. It makes perfect sense. I thought it might be a Hollywood invention done by Kirk Douglas in Vincent van Gogh! Cheers
So much talking. Maybe spend more time on the artist at work.
This show is condescending to artists. They treat them like kids.
Again the weakest one of the three was chosen 😢
I think the commentors interrupting the artists is annoying and rude.
Portrait artist of the year? Are you kidding me? These people look completely untrained. I was painting like this when I was 4.
judges are full of sht
