great vide and good tips. i took a photograph of the model and of the finished drawing. they actually look like 2 different people side by side. i've been drawing for years myself and to capture the likeness completely i prefer the grid. i understand that we can't be perfect when trying to do our own measurements and i have much respect for what you can do. i have a few time-lapse videos on my channel as an example. thanks for inspiring all artists around the world. keep up the good work.

Hey young Chen, I’m a young charcoal artist, and I would like to know how you’re able to control ur contrasts of the charcoal, I also have compressed charcoal but whenever I try to draw it or fill it, it’s dark, harder lines which will be hard to easer aftermath of my drawings. I know you say u used compressed charcoal to do portrait, but I would like to know any types of it.

What type of paper do u use??
