Portland, Oregon: Has a great American city become a ghost town? We drive, you see for yourself!

Once a vibrant and thriving city, Portland, Oregon has become a ghost town in recent years. Businesses are closing, crime is rising, and people are afraid to go out at night. But there's one group of people who seem to be thriving in this new environment: zombies.
In this video, we'll take a virtual road trip through Portland and see how the city has changed. We'll drive past boarded-up businesses, abandoned buildings, and streets that are eerily quiet. We'll also see some of the zombies that have made Portland their home.
Whether you're planning a visit to Portland or just want to learn more about the city's decline, this video is for you. So buckle up and get ready to explore... or maybe not.
Of course, this is just one perspective. There are still plenty of people who love Portland and enjoy living there. But it's clear that the city is facing some serious challenges.
If you're planning a visit to Portland, it's important to be aware of the situation. Do some research and make sure you're going to the right places. And be sure to take precautions to stay safe.
But if you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience, then a visit to Portland might be just what you're looking for.

This is clearly from winter, what year? It's September now. No leafless trees.

Looked like every other urban city area to me. Awful lot of people driving and walking around for a "ghost town". What is with this influx of videos acting like some cities are empty when they clearly aren't? Yeah, there are homeless people, drugs, and crime in every single city in America. That's what happens when large amounts of people gather in one place.

Exactly...you can search for just about every city in America on KZread and a bs title like this will come up.

Where are they stating the city is a ghost town? If you read the title they are asking the question. Leave these two girls alone...they presented a video they took, they are not lying just presenting a reality that our city is facing. There is an exodus of people, you can see in the video plenty of store fronts boarded up. And no, it is not normal in any big city to see blue tents and abandoned fenced buildings! I have lived in Portland area a long time and the city has certainly changed.

This is at least 1.5 years old. It's winter and you've driven by two completely finished new buildings. Is this morning during the pandemic?

Yes, it is from winter 2022, I don't remember what day of the week it was, but it was the morning. We were trying to get the lunch hour to see if people returned to the offices/city, and this is what we saw. There were not any restrictions during that time, as all the shops and restaurants were open, and we were some of the only ones with masks. We set the recording date to Jan 2022, so it should show up, thanks for your comments and for watching! :)
