That's a Chicago style poppy seed bun, Adam!

When Adam is giving the tour of the ceiling while waiting for his food, he sees the bike and says don’t take that down any slides. Remember that quite a while ago Adam took his bicycle down a slide and hurt himself. I just chuckled when he made that comment.

The Orlando one seems a bit more commercial/generic than the one I ate at near Chicago which felt way more genuine somehow. Whatever, it's a building.

Portillos originated in my home town. I was so glad to see one in Orlando while vacationing last week! ....and it's Villa Park 🙄 Dick Portillo would have never allowed that misprint

I originally from Melrose Park and I cringed at the Villa Park name slip too.

Adam, I am catching up on some older vlogs. Your one covering the ranch where the Manson family lived is very informative. You can tell how much work you put into it including going up and down the hills. I certainly appreciate your vlogs. Thank you kindly for bringing them to me.

Man whenever Adam mentions the slide I always laugh. I remember watching that video when it was new, the first video I ever discovered on your channel cause I watching movie history and filming location pages! Another great video Adam! Those dogs indeed did look delicious! Loved the history and all the vintage decor.

I grew up in Barrington Illinois and they were Purtilo‘s all over the place I know the history small guy with a hotdog stand and now an amazing franchise of upscale really really really good food. I started watching your channel because I was interested in Abandoned places many years ago. I love how your channel has progressed and I’m so happy for your success. Life is amazing.

I'm a Chicagoan, we go at least once a week. We got locations all over the Chicago Area.

I saw this and had to try it. So freaking good! My location in Peoria Illinois opened in 2018. Thank you Adam for turning me onto Portillo's! They are awesome and I had the same. Two Chicago type dogs plus the chilli and cheese and onion rings. It was fantastic! Never knew that this place was so good but you got me to try it and thank you for that!

All these eating establishments like Portillo’s you find and go to are great and places we don’t have where we live but wish we did. Couldn’t stop saying”love it “ . Love the nostalgia and the modern all in one place. Love The Dog House. It’s so great. Putting ketchup on hot dogs is frowned upon. From the looks of things, they should be very successful there. The hot dogs and onion rings looked really good. I like crunchy onion rings. Looks like it’s worth the wait for. You lead a very blessed life. God bless you.

I live in the Chicago area and Italian beefs are my favorite food, so I am a Portillo’s and Bouna beef expert! Next time you visit the amazing Portillo’s establishment, I highly suggest getting the beef and cheddar croissant 🥐 it is amazing! It is only made better by adding a cheese fry side dish. You will thank me! And hearing you try to pronounce everything made my day! I didn’t realize how these foods are unique only to the Chicago area until now! We have them in almost every town, and I never realized how lucky we are! I will appreciate it more now!

I remember going to Portillos on Ontario Street in Chicago with my great aunt before she passed a year ago. RIP.

I've been waiting for a chance to try Portillos but there was just never one close enough to where I live here in the southeast (Tennessee), until now. We are Disney AP's, so we will be sure to hit this place a lot now when we visit! Also, if it hasn't been said already, that was a barrel of Root Beer up in the ceiling. Although, I think you're close enough with keg. ;)

I grew up on Portillos! They have the absolute best Beef sandwich with sweet peppers and that juice is to die for!!! Where I live now, we don't have one, so I cannot wait to head back down to Orlando and get my beloved sandwich!! Villa Park Dog House brings back memories :) Decor is amazing.

Awesome vlog Adam! I grew up in the Chicagoland area for 18 plus years. You did a good choice by getting those Chicago dogs! Next time you go to Portillo's get the Italian beef sandwich forget the beef and cheddar on a croissant. Definitely go for that chocolate cake shake It's worth it! And those cheese fries are to die for! To give you a little slight correction those black seeds and the buns are actually poppy seeds.

Adam you got to get an Italian Beef next time. It's amazing!

This makes me Chicago heart happy Portillos right next to White Castles! I always get the Italian beef and ask them to dip it! Also the cake is delicious!

It's weird how the Portillo's interior theme can change from location to location. I'd say the location in this video is 50's/60's themed.... and the location near me is 30's speakeasy/mobster themed.

Apparently Adam has never had a sport pepper before, lol! Eating them in combination with all the rest of the ingredients is great but alone, that’s a brave man!

CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!! It's my favorite, next to my own. ;) We love our Portillo's. Salads are yummy, chicken is great, fish was tasty when I had that last month and those crinkle fries... mmmmmm. Hubs loves the burgers. Haven't done the dogs or Italian beef (in store) We buy the to go pack of the Italian beef and heat and serve at home. I can't speak for Orlando, but in Milwaukee, they are truly the most efficient workers around. Great service.

Took my daughter there on Wednesday! Was my first time trying it and I really enjoyed it ☺
