This just popped in my recommended, I bought FL about a year ago but got it (the usual way) a few years ago but I gave it up cause I couldn’t figure it out. This video has been super helpful getting back into it again

Ludwig going "wait we're not done" after dropping a basic drum loop down is the most accurate depiction of what it's like making your first few beats!! 😂 so wholesome

I dont think its very informational or good teaching at all (absolutely not a masterclass)... BUT!!!! you learn way more and way better this way, because its FUN. You are getting taught by a WORLD CLASS musician instead of having to sit through a boring 20 hour video on "music production fundamentals" by a failed musician, who doesnt even know what good music sounds like. This(having fun and being excited) is way more important, when starting out making music, than learning all the dry aged nitty gritty details that wont make you a better musician.

this guy is very experienced in FL Studio, he should become a musician.

I LOVE how every little thing Lud makes, even though it sounds horrible at first, hypes Porter so much due his capacity of seeing things beyond our comprehension.

My biggest issue with making music is that the software is SO powerful and robust that it's sorta overwhelming. I feel like having someone walk you through at least the basics to get you off the ground is INVALUABLE.

I wish I was friends with one of the biggest electronic artists to help me start ahha. But this is helping me a lot and giving me inspo to get back into it especially now that I’ve become more interested in DJing

6:48 in the rare 0.1% chance porter reads this, but FL has had a export to soundcloud feature since 2019. But its kind of hidden in the "Export to cloud" option

i love how when lud does something musically questionable porter doesn't intervene and stop him he just lets mess around and figure out what sounds good or bad

ludwig being a choir kid makes so much sense

some of those presets genuinly had big potential and porter recognised that immediately.

Lud bringing in the croissant sample was a piece of musical genius

fun fact: fl studio does infact have an "export directly to soundcloud" feature.

Ludwig is very lucky to have a legend like Porter to teach him to produce.

This is actually so helpful to those just starting out, how i wished i had porter coaching me when i started haha

Hopefully Ludwig does more music streams with this guy. Easily some of the best content Ludwig has done

There are stem recreations of it on youtube. Just search Ghost Voices FLP or FL remake. I've actually made one myself using free plugins and it sounds really good actually.

In less than 3 minutes Porter gave the best advice for getting a bad mix. Raise the bass, cut the treble, and then add reverb.

I'm pretty certain that Ableton Live removed the feature to publish to soundcloud in version 11, and i could never get it to work before that, either 😔 The best feature... gone.

My advice is to literally sing into the mix. And then use a spectrum to th and find the notes. You dint need to be perfectly in key just close enough. You can probably sing the melody close enough to on

If anyone plans on becoming a music producer i very recommend going for it, once you start it will be very stressful to know what everything is but as soon as you watch enough youtube tutorials and research more into it and make your first track it will leave you with soo much hype and it becomes a nonstoppable addiction that leaves you with no words, its the best theropy you can get, i first started producing back in 2015 when i found out about martin garrix and from there on music producing has been my favorite career path of my life, 20 years old now and just got signed to a small label and i cant describe the feeling on how amazing it is to be a producer, the community is amazing with a wide variety of producers that are very talented and creative, and if anyone tries to low talk you and try to take away your spirit and love for music dont listen to them, use that negativity to push harder and show them how worthy and talented you are, so all you guys get out there and get creative🔥
