I never flew on that airplane, but it seems to be very quiet. That complimentary service is definitely a great plus. Go Porter!

great video although i cant agree with your conclusion - you can often get porter fares at very similar cost to lynx and flair, and even for a few more dollars id much rather fly on these super-comfortable E2s than be packed like cattle on a 737 (not to mention porter being infinitely more reliable and helpful than our ULCCs)

Like I said in the video, paying $216 CAD is around what you would pay for WestJet or Air Canada. I would buy them over Porter because you get two pieces of carry on. Normal round trip pricing for Lynx and Flair can be had most of the time for $100-$150.

Yes, but if you earn VIPorter member points, you can also redeem them like WestJet Dollars and get a lower fare@@OnTimeReports albeit one still should do some comparison shopping on pricing. Porter currently also offers a monthly instalment payment option if you really need it. As far as I know, AC and WS also only allow one personal item and one carry-on luggage in the cabin possibly depending on the fare type purchased. I'm not trying to laud only porter, though my experience with PD was quite good: I had signed up to porter's membership a day before check-in online and received an upgrade at the gate to Reserve class on my first ever flight with them from YVR to YYZ. Membership also allowed for free, continuous WiFi throughout the flight on top of the upgraded/inclusive meal service.

I agree I would also travel Porter over WJ and AC any day of the week. No middle seats, free beer, wine, snacks and wifi.

I noticed some people here complaining that the plane is too quiet. One interesting thing I heard from an interview with one of Embraer's design engineers is that noise is a waste of energy, so the quieter the plane, the more efficient it becomes.

If you fly Reserve class it's free, if you fly Classic you pay. But snacks and drinks are free!!!🎉🎉

What you have showed on video don't match with your conclusions. Looks like an employee of competitors companies trying to find bad things and afraid of bottom line of Porter Airlines. Credibility is a very difficult thing do get however is very easy to lose.

I had to laugh when he said he would fly with Flair or Lynx if he was only taking a personal item. Good luck with that! Lynx Airlines has completely shut down, and Flair just stranded its passengers in Cancun for 3 days, with no proper updates or reimbursements. Passengers were extremely upset and disappointed with Flair, and swore they would never fly with them again!

Porter is the worst airline.. prepare for delayed, cancelled flights, and jumping through hoops to get any compensation for your inconvenience..

Literally all Canadian airlines have suffered that. When my flight was cancelled with Porter they worked very quickly to reroute my flight and get me to my destination quickest as possible. They are the best airline, no doubt.
