Great vid Buckin! Been thinking about one of these for myself. The old tendonitus elbow is making it hard to pull undercuts out on the limbs for this old boy. It felt great in hand at a local dealer and been trying to talk myself out of it since and not doing a very good job of it. That Vistalite kit is a beauty and sounds great under your clubs. You're a regular Elvin Jones of the north up there! Keep doing the good work for all to draw inspiration from.

Hi Billy, could you help me with this pls ? I need to update from an old McCulloch and buy a new chainsaw the next few days and i am debating among Stihl MS231 and Husky 445. What you think its best ? Im not a professional , my needs is to cut about 10-12 tons of woods (soft and hard woods) every year for my woodstove but i need a machine to be durable and last as much its possible always with a good service when it needs it. Thank you. Your opinion would really matter to me.

im just some random guy on here but I run a stihl ms250. one of the guys that works with me runs a husky 445. I personally like my stihl a lot better. I've ran that thing so much the mounts holding the dogs on melted off but it still keeps going. stihl's are easier to service in my opinion husky's that size are kinda set up goofy but they do work and will probably last as long as my saw. my 250 was new in 2015. I wore out a bar completely with it now I'm working on the second bar. the saws still going but might need to be replaced soon.

@@scrapmanindustries Thanks a lot my friend for your response. Im trying to find out which saw to get since i need one to cut woods for my woodstove. First i was thinking the ms 231 but then i found a good deal at a shop with big discounts the ms 251 same money as the 231 so i decided to get the 251 since its a lil more powerfull. But then i read some reviews ppl saying that 251 is just a plastic junk but ppl get it because its cheap. In my country its not but a cheap, it costs 640 euros. So then i thought since ppl say its a junk to get a husky 445 that at least its a lot cheaper than 251. You see all that comments reading freaked me out and i thought to go to the pro series and get a ms 261 c-m but its too expensive for me and most important i dont like the electronic system it has for the carburator. Im an old school, i want to have screws to adjust when i want it and not an electronic device to do that for me. So after all i think i will get the ms 251 C with quick adjuster for chain and ergostart and i hope it will be durable and last a few years for the job i need it. My need for woods its about 10-12 tons of wood every year. I guess its not the ideal machine for that quantity of woods but cant afford a bigger one anyway. Thanks again for you response !

  • @scrapmanindustries

@@petertomas3665 the 251 is pretty nice too. I used one of my customers 251's once. a lot of people talk crap about the 250/251 but I think a lot of those people never ran one. I just used my 250 to murder a locust tree that was 23" in diameter. it ended up being about a cord and a half of wood and 30 yards of compacted brush. all done in a day. that saw has cut about 400 cords of wood or more by now. the biggest thing is to just keep the chain sharp. but that's with any saw really. saws like the 661 will keep cutting with a dull chain on a small bar but the small saws you gotta keep them chains sharp and you won't have any issues.
