@@inflame_sr huh it doesn't show as chapters, maybe just add "0:00 Intro" and "Chapters" above it idk, it probably just doesn't know what to put for 0:00 through 0:38 because there's nothing there

Just would to thank you for this video .. I was totaly lost about how to install the setup to begin to learn Portal Speedrun .. and I found You 💖✨ it's hard sometimes to begin speedrun or No Hit cause there are a huge setup to do , some tricks to know , and without knowing people who are running the game it can easely become a wall .. and it's just frustrating haha .. so , really thanks for that !! ( hope you will understand , I'm French so I'm bad in English xD )

hey inflame, awesome video, it has helped me a lot. The only problem I am having is when I type "speedrun_save vault" and I start a speedrun, it just starts like usual and is not 53 seconds in. Am I doing something wrong or is it something else?

im having this weird fov thing where my camera is off center and my portal gun is barley visible from the bottom corner whats going on? livesplit also wont open for some reason

i dont have a folder that says split in my LiveSplit folder.

Do I have to open the game via the batch file every time I wanna play or can I load it up from the steam library after I've set everything up?

Inflame when i try and download it it always firstly downloads the RAR in Users disc C which i do not have 2.5 GB what could i do to replace the download onto disc D

i think the latest source unpack already has the demo stuff handled not sure

I can’t figure out how to access the console command page Edit: nvm got it, needed to be in the game not the pause menu

changing whats in the box does literally nothing so you can just change it to Inbounds no SLA

_y_spt_overlay 1 doesnt work and _y doesnt even show up yes i have the latest version of source pause tool

I Know im 3 years late but what do i do when i click on the bat file and it shows that portal is open on steam and then it closes

after downloading livesplit and getting the correct splits for inbounds, the activate autosplit button says there is no Auto Splitter available for this game, but i followed the steps to a T. any ideas?

You have to have Steam running in the background, as well as you have to purchase/own the game on steam for it to launch through the .bat at all.

If I open livesplits and then portal, portal stays in front so I can't see the timer and yes I have always on top enabled. So any idea how I can fix that

for me i had to run it in windowed tab (Portal) and just drag it to the top

Move unpack folder into the fist folder of your game "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal"

​@@religbombing894 if you are using source unpack: right click on portal. bat → edit, and add -window and -noborder. then save if you are using steampipe, right click on portal at the bar on the left → properties, and add -windowed and -noborder at launch options

hey man thanks for the guide, but when i try to download source unpack it takes forever to download. My average download speed when updating or downloading games is around 7mb/s but when i try download source unpack my download speed goes down to 150kb/s. I use Firefox but I don't think that's the problem.

you can change the category name in livesplit under "edit splits" and the autosplitter will still work

I'll try to buy it on steam.

when i press Portal.bat it says "CFileSystem_Steam::Init() failed: failed to find steam interface". I have the steam version of portal already so i dont see the problem. My discord is Sam Borg#8536 so if you could provide me with a solution that would be appreciated, thanks
