Released on October 9, 2007, as part of the critically acclaimed Orange Box, Portal is a single-player first-person action/puzzle game developed by Valve. Despite lasting only a couple of hours, reviewers never panned Portal for its short length; most simply said it was just the right length for what it was. At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

I commented this months ago, why do you feel the need to comment on something already closed just to insult someone? And by the way, I check the description before I commented. It wasn't there. It must've been a recent fix

There's no TAS for source engine games. YaLTeR is working on one for HL1. There are segmented runs, however.

+Paul Miner It is pretty interesting that this last part is not a cuscene, but rendered from the game with a non-reset environment to begin with ... why did they even make it like this?

+Humandavid1 Yes! I know Portal quite well, but I completely lost direction a couple of times. The weird bugs in physics are not exactly helping either ... Making a speed-run in this game has to contain a lot of training.

I've seen a large skips run that was 10 minutes minus load times.
where's your video on how to run p1 ar? also, do you do it like znern did? cause he's pro :p (although if that cube thing at the beginning hadn't messed you up you probably would have won (I still like znern better though :p).

It's surely source unpack, it's what one uses for speedrunning Portal or Half-Life 2. wiki.sourceruns.org/wiki/Source_Unpack

Probably due to a program called f.lux, tints the screen for better viewing at night, though for how lit the room seems to be, he probably should have it disabled. Otherwise his screen colors are all screwed up.

Princess Typhoon bhopping works forwards as well, what are you on about. I was referring tot he strafe jumping being done backwards. I found out later there's more acceleration backwards or something like that, I can't remember.
