Portaging SUCKS | Baird Brothers: Temagami Wilderness Ep4

Спорт

Paddling upriver, who's idea was this again? It's the last day of portaging before the Baird Brothers reach their destination...and they have reached their boiling point. If they can navigate the log jams then they get a secluded waterfall to enjoy all themselves. Learn about mushroom identification and grab a plate for a tasty fish and forage dinner!
Jim and Ted Baird, Season 4 Alone winners, have explored and endured over 10,000 miles of the worlds most brutal terrain. Now, they’re pushing off on a 2 week, 140 mile canoe trip in the Temagami Wilderness of Canada. This backcountry adventure will test their skills and strength as they paddle and portage through the bush with close to 1,000 lbs between themselves, their gear and Jim's faithful dog Buck. The Bros. will educate and inspire you to get out and explore these beautiful wild places, and to course your own adventure!

Hahahhahahahaha damn near spit my dinner across the room after Ted launched the dry bag into the canoe hahahaha. Showed my fiancé this and told her see I'm not the only one who snaps on portages LOL thanks boys for showing the gritty stuff that everyone skips out on.

Yep, a little catharsis. Pretty much covers it all in that tray. I boiled my tackle down for portaging but it's still three trays lol.

My family has property down Rabbit Lake road. I've spent a great portion of my childhood and life in general in the Temagami region. It really is a magical place. It would be impossible to explain to someone who has never been here. This series you guys put out it not only extremely creative in terms of film making, but also very educational. Absolutely beautiful series boys. I truly believe if this had more exposure, OLN or another network would sign you guys for a season of this content. The quality is top notch. I feel like I'm watching a series that had millions of dollars behind it. Can't say enough good things about this. love it

Jack Nobre you’re welcome Jack! I wish we could avoid the arguments but sometimes they’re a reality. It’s all about deciding to get over it and having fun. Though it feels immature, maybe it’s better to get it out and move in rather than hold it in and resent. Glad you’re enjoying the series!

Guys the perfect lure in Canada for walleye and pike is the cap from a Canadian folded one third over with a hole punched a split ring and a single hook with a bit of pink feather. Bass like it also. Its a Canadian it perfect. Don't start the stupid fighting crap. it detracts from the serenity. It is terrible. I have lost two of my brothers and if I could have just one more trip, one more cast, one more bbq. Never argue, it isn't worth it.

Very entertaining stuff, you guys. I'm just wondering... by the end of Ep.4, I had only seen that generator being dragged and humped around. I assume it's for charging camera and mic batteries at night?? I use is a few 20,000 mAh power banks and a good folding solar panel. Also use a couple 2W LED bulbs with USB plugs, running off a power bank, for nights around the fire and in the tent. Super light, plenty bright, and use very little power (1 power bank charge lasts 5 nights easy). Plus -- much less naptha to lug around. All in all, saves a TON of weight and space. I heard you mention having a solar setup at some point too, so maybe you do all this already. Anyhow... slog on lads!
