It does actually work great, no kitty required. I think your idea of a solar powered Panda would be great. It would not use the amount of power of a full sized machine, and is easy to move around. We have had this machine for 3 years, and still love it.

Love the cat, best part of the video. Great product. The cat was desperate to be a part of the vid.

I have not had issues with mold in the Panda washing machine. I prop the top open when I am done using it so it can dry out. I wipe it out with a damp paper towel at the end of each load to remove excess lint. Most washing machines need to be cleaned inside occasionally. If your Panda washing machine inside needs cleaning, fill it with the hottest water, add a cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Vinegar is a fantastic natural cleaner and deoderizer. The hoses were included.

There is a far more efficient and economical way of using this machine. - When finished filling the wash tub, move the hose to the right hand side's spin dryer water inlet (it's there for a reason). - Put your least soiled laundry in your first load, increasing soil level as you progress. - When finished washing, DO NOT DRAIN, instead move the clothes to the spin dryer, do not start the spin dryer yet. - Move the drain so that it drains INTO the wash tub. - Start the spin dryer to extract as much of the wash water as possible. You do not need to use the drain position to drain the spin side as the spin timer also controls the pump motor. - Move the drain hose to your sink or tub to drain. - If there are no more clothes in the wash tub and you are ready to start the next wash load, start the machine and add clothes. - Fill the spin dryer with water to rinse clothes, spin this water out, repeat, add fabric softener to last rinse while filling. Both the spin dryer and the wash tub can run at the same time. - When finished with the last load, drain the wash tub and clean out the lint while you are rinsing and spin drying the final load. The spin drying of the last load's wash water will also go to the drain instead of returning to the wash tub.

Your kitty is beautiful! Thanks for the instructional video. I picked one of these up on CraigsList, but the person who sold it (for $20) wasn't the original purchaser. Woo-hoo! Looking forward to NOT visiting the laundromat very often.

Glad you like the kitty. You got a great deal on the Panda, wow! If I bought it used, I would pre clean it. Fill it with hot water and a cup of white vinegar to remove any residue or ?? from the last owner. My biggest tip, wipe it out with a paper towel between loads to cut down on the lint.

Mine just won’t drain at all. And still trying to figure it out after two hours

Sorry to hear that. Might the hose be clogged? Try lowering the hose to a bucket and see if it will drain better. Hope you figure it out quickly.

Can you use bleach to clean the interior washer compartment? If so, how much is recommended to use?

@@AlaskaGranny I, unfortunately, don't have vinegar or baking soda and I'm in self isolation now from COVID-19. The only thing I have is bleach and only have a portable panda washer.

How do you get the rest of the water out of the drain hose? it pumps out but there is still some left towards the bottom

Lower the hose to floor level, and allow it to drain into a dish or pan. Store it with the lid open.
