So you just empty your water in the sink afterwards?
Thanks for the idea! I need to make one of these to use while I remodel my only bathroom. and thanks for all the humor.

A shower curtain track works the best ive found. You could also get collapsible dog pools or a collapsible tub.

I have tried two inflatable pools, it helped but still water splashed out. I bought the 32 inch wide, 10 inch deep dog pool and Whoopee, it's the absolute best...

Our 18' rv does not have a shower. I was going to do something different but not now. This is a great idea. I purchased a Chapin 1.5 L /51oz portable hand sprayer from Lowes today for a little over $5.00 which I will be trying tonight. It is amazing of how little water can be used for shower. I noticed the reason I use so much in our home is because it is so enjoyable for the water to run over you. In 2006 we went from a 3,000 sq. ft house to a 39ft fifth wheel full time for 3 yrs. We loved it. In two weeks we will start our part time journeys in our 1992 Roadtrek. Looking so forward to it.
My best part it was when he said: "it's up to you, it might be illegal"? 😅😂🤣🤣🤣
My whole bathroom is under remodel so I made this shower to have a shower to use until my bathroom is done. This has really been helpful...ty
I'm loving this! Living in spec/flip houses while the work was ongoing in the past - I wish I'd seen this sooner. Inspiring and LOL!
Ingenious with the portable shower using pvc pipes!!!
Genius! Been looking for a cargo van shower solution. This is pretty amazing! Thank you!
Awesome video - not long winded at all for me. I appreciate you explaining everything so well and with a great sense of humor.
I actually saw this same design somewhere else...and MADE IT!!!.. I am a Primitive Glamper ( oxymoron) with a 3 room Swiss Gear tent...this shower was kept in back room along with porta potty and sm dressing table (I'm a girl : ) only I went the "heated" water and rain shower head..watering can for water application.. Lol...point is I LOVE MY CAMP SHOWER...and other campers are AMAZED!!
This is a great idea. Looking to put something portable like this in my van but will be using the collapsible dog bath that comes with a drain plug. Thanks for sharing!
Great idea. Great sense of humor. Sharing. Thanks.
Love this. Actually shared your specs with a couple friends we used half the plastic tubing and a heavy duty rolling rack I got for free. Your the best! Thank you!

Where did u get the specs
Nice setup, I got me a used coleman Hot Water on Demand and I used this past july during our camping trip, I bought a portable 'shower tent' and I used it with two 5 gallons buckets and We were able to get really warm/hot showers while camping. It took me almost a year to find the Coleman HWOD on offer up.
Watching in 2021! And it's still that great! I remember watching and I seen a comment from my old channel 10 years ago. Wow. Time flys

Great I really want to make this for our next camping trip.
I work and a hot shower when I get home is so soothing. I t accrued to me today , what would be the top 3 things Id really need in a grid down situation to make it more bearable, and yep you guessed it a portable shower. So many people talk about first aid and food and even water but how many realize if the grid went down a hot or even warm shower would be so important for the mind! Great idea sir thank you so much!
Thanks for the post was having trouble coming up with an idea for my tiny home..
Wonderful Kevin! Thanks for doing this. It's exactly what I'm looking for! Live in a very very small rv and need a way to shower! Love it!
I have a small old fashion tub and yes this is just what I was looking for!!! Thank you
This is great! A bit long-winded, but I'm glad I stuck through it! I've been "hoarding" ideas for being environmentally friendly/self sufficient. I love the second option. You could easily use rain water for this, and attach a filter if you wanted.
Another solution for draining is fitting an outdoor spigot to the container. Attach a hose and you can drain it anywhere without having to lift until the last tiny bit in the bottom

Great idea this is going to work great in my camper, thanks 🙂👍⛺🏞🐾🌲
hula hoop, shower curtains, I had an outdoor shower when I had my Toyota Dolphin. At 6' 6", I found my reaction to the on board shower somewhat claustrophobic. I just got an outside shower head, Shower Massage by Water Pik! and ran the hose out my kitchen window. I miss those days, and want them back!
Very ingenious! Smart man. Great for van campers.
Great Idea for a multi shower bath house for the Guadamalan populus via the ripple effect.
Great use of normal items that are easy to find and assemble. The idea of keeping this all contained is a great idea. How about using old coolers? Some coolers have spikkets on the bottom for easy drainage and some coolers have wheels on them for easy roll out of the room.
I should add...for CAMPING purposes...do NOT glue PVC together...for easy tear down... throw away shower curtains they are a buck apiece at Dollar Store and you don't want a wet, drippy, mildew mess...all other pieces can be stored in container ( rings, pvc fittings, outer fabric shower curtain, bath mat, body wash/shampoo and watering can : )...tape PVC poles together and your ready for next trip!

Sheila Outside!! Bad for the environment to throw away a shower curtain every time I shower. It's better to re-use it. An environmental friendly paper towel can easily soak up dry a shower curtain
@hanb.4726

or simply......hang it to dry
@oldtimerlee8820
4 жыл бұрын
@@hanb.4726 I thought the same thing. Just remove the bottom of the curtain from the tote and let it hang straight till dry. Only takes a short bit of time during hot weather. Can't imagine many folks doing this in COLD weather. No way I'd spend a buck a shower for a throw away curtain. That's expensive over the long haul.
If I ever win the lottery I wish I could pay somebody like you to help me build vans I thought you would do phenomenal with that!!!

Thanks for the inspiration! My house will only be 12X20 and I didn't want to set up a permanent shower. This will work great. I think I might build it with PVC, though.
I was planning something like this for Covid so we could wash off in the shower before going into shared spaces in the house. Great idea Sir

Oh boy I love this idea I am 56 yrs old and i I am handicapped and I can't walk up the stairs to take a shower so I've been bathing out of a small bathroom sink for a year now, due to I have an enlarged heart wich the inner chamber doesn't pump the blood threw my heart ( like a normal persons ) and because of this condition it makes me have a hard time breathing so I am on oxygen because I can't breath and I have very bad knees and one of them doesn't bend at all not at all is all I know I sure am in need of something to take a shower and something like this would be GREAT But I do want to say what a great idea this is to bad my family couldn't make me one but they don't like doing anything for me and that's sad I wish you or I could find someone to come to my home and make me one. And of coures I would pay you and for the parts
Thank you, my mum needs a way to shower without going upstairs anymore after her hospital stuff recently. The "tub" could also be a kiddy pool so it'd be a tad more roomy.

Harder to keep the water in because it's so shallow, and harder to empty it afterwards
i like how he said after saying you could use it in the street "That Might Be Illegal;" XD
great idea!! I now know what I'm going to build, thank you for video
Yes two people can take a luxurious shower sharing 5 gal of hot water.

It was the Coleman water heater?
If you have a utility sink with threads you can also buy an outdoor shower and screw it on to the utility sink. You can then adjust the temperature of the water at the utility sink.
Awesome build & convient pack up to put away. Thank you
I use my Coleman Hot water-on-demand system to fill my 4.7 gallon Big Kahuna portable shower with warm water outside my 5x10 cargo trailer, then I use it indoors to shower using a very similar setup as Kevin. The Big Kahuna has a better shower head with a variable flow handheld push switch. Solved my problem and no carbon monoxide poisoning.
Thank you im going too get that whole set up its perfect. im tired of my Bi-Monthly showers thanks sir

Fantastic. This might work for my CamperVan. I've been looking for something that I can set up and get out of the way for more space.
I place a coffee urn high up over the storage ben. I remove the filter. After putting not too much water inside. I plug to heat... If too hot, I add cold water. I unplug the plug to take shower. The fauset of urn is small. I turn it off a number of times, while scrubbing. I make sure I wash behind the ears. (Even in the shower, I do stand-up dry humor) The running water is very focused, I'm not sure if I need the curtain, especially if I use a large storage ben.
We are about to do a bathroom remodel, our house only has only shower, I love your idea and will do something very similar
That was terrific (yet simple) answer to my problem. Thanks

I am confused as to how to get the water used to go in the bucket so the floor is not wet. My husband can not go upstairs to shower. I will donate. Great idea
Me and PVC are buddies...most durable invention ever!!!Excellent build especially for it to be collapsable. How long does the pump last? Anyway to reverse pump the water to a sink?
THANK YOU, WE KNEW THAT THERE HAD TO BE A TEMPORARY WAY, TO GET A POTABLE SHOWER, UNTIL WE COULD AFFORD THE REAL ONE...THANKS AGAIN, BY THE WAY, YOU ARE SO FUNNY....A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR LOVE IT!!!

From my own grey matter, and not having seen your vid, I have already designed and created a detachable 4 piece PVC pipe version for use outdoors, which simply drops onto two hooks on the side of Campervans and other Recreational Vehicles and uses two extendable aluminium tent poles with guy ropes and ground pegs to hold it up to the correct height. I just lerve PVC pipes....wish I could eat them ! Just a tip for newbies to this creative pastime genre.....when you visit the hardware store to get your PVC pipes, BE SURE TO look in BOTH the Plumbing and the Electrical Conduit sections where you will learn about an even greater variety of interchangeable PVC fittings you can use for many design projects. You will end up being a PVC piping afficionado in the LEGO Style !
Thanks for posting. Very interesting.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!

Great vid.
GREAT STUFF THANX
Oops, I comented on the wrong video. I like you idea better, though. One suggestion would be to use one of the shower curtains that are more like fabric. The cost a little bit more but they will lay in the tub much better. They dry off in about 30 minutes.
great vid!
Good job!
Love the intro
Nice idea---may use for the kids outdoors or in garage during the summer to wash off the day's dirt before coming inside---maybe use a slightly larger "tub"....
The shower cap doesn't remind me to much of the lunch lady. Mainly because her beard was much fuller!

Well...I have to say it was a bit unnerving to see you in the shower with a cap on at the beginning of this video but I toughed it out and it turned out to be very informative. I need to make a prefab portable shower for my mother who contracted Covid with underlying health issues and was hospitalized. Several times she was close to exiting this world but as the miracle example that she beat the odds, she has survived and will be coming to my house for in-home care. My partner (a guy cause my religion does not believe in the alternative sexual orientation lifestyle and neither do I) has a house that only has a 1/2 bath downstairs. I can modify your shower to be wheelchair assessible and hook up to the kitchen sink. Thank you for doing this video. God Bless you and the USA!
Nice!
This is really nifty, keep up the good work friend!
This was very informative, however the Coleman hot water heater states it is for outdoor use only. I'd love to hear how people are dealing with that. I want to use it in a tiny house.
😂😂😂 I like your humor

Genius. How long does that propane bottle last for the shower application?
What about using a water tank tub and attach hose to end to feed to sink....would that be to low and water still splash out?
How to you drain the water left inside the plastic tub? For an indoor shower
