Peregrine Falcons are truly a Warrior Bird species. The only Raptor(of any size) that i've seen attack a human in defense of it's nest. I've seen it repeatedly. Banding Univ biologists fighting an Adult off with their hat while Falcon is attacking their head. Yet Falcon Chicks never fight each other--they may contest each other for Parent held food scrap, But they don't Bonk each other as eagles do.And always being more than 2 in a clutch( more like 5 or 6), plenty of opportunity to Want to Bonk. Rather, they use their native intelligence to "Game" the feeding process by things like getting to head of line, or thru Adults legs from behind or waiting for others to become' Comatose ' with food and have a private feeding. A real pleasure to watching Mom Or Dad feeding their multisized Clutches and how remarkably 'Civil' they are to each other and Parents as well. Edith P--Thanks for Posting.
