That’s horrible. Port orange is the laziest force around this lame town. I’ll never ever send my child to these schools. And this should have been edited w t f is this? Sad shame my neighbor goes there and had to come home was day before my daughters 7th b day so sad. They don’t regulate US one either I got hit going 65 miles an hour. I told them today they needed to do something while they’re standing at an accident scene at the tail end of everybody, but everybody seemed fine. I let them know that nobody ever pulls anybody over one of the guys was listening, and the other one was rude and dismissed me and told me to turn around and drive away they think they’re hot shit but they can’t even man their roads. There’s too many people to have so many U-turns and that school should have cross guards Port Orange is no better than any surrounding town in my eyes anymore and I cannot wait to move. Writing the news journal because this shit is insane.

@@Rawrven I wonder the same thing, I think they’re trying to pretend like they thought it was safe, when they had full knowledge it wasn’t my son is traumatized not just from being hit but he also seen her. My other son had to watch both. This could have been avoided clearly the crossing guard they had they since Tuesday did just fine why did it take for this to happen to get one there

ALSO, Alot You know, The child that was killed was a Girl on the Safety Patrol on her Bicycle IN THE CROSSWALK😥 THERE IS NO EXCUSE!!!😡

This is the 3rd time this year a child was hit. Also I have personally seen car go around a kid in the crosswalk. Almost hit them.

My son was hit exactly 3 weeks ago right there in the same spot this is the 5th child in 3 years we the parents know the truth and we will not be silent about it. There’s signs there announcing a child was hit in that spot

A helmet is not the answer. It’s the idiots driving. I heard it was an 80-year-old maybe they should start first of all having a crosswalk guard which people have been begging for because multiple people have been hit here second of all I have the laziest police force in the county third of all Regulate the speed limit especially on US one where I got hit by somebody going 65 check old people and not let them continue to drive when they can’t even see but I don’t send my children or child to school especially in Volusia county especially in Florida, and if I did, I wouldn’t be letting my child ride her bike to school in the sick world, but I would never think somebody would accidentally hit her getting into school. That would be the last worry it would be getting kidnapped off her bicycle report ain’t so peachy like everybody thinks. No different than anywhere else and I’ve got plenty of facts on why I’ve experienced first hand.

I dont feel hes very passionate about this so 3rd time kid gets killed i would be mad ..how is it getting worse ..what are you going to do to make sure no other kids are hurt ..he keeps blaming otjer people

That’s because Port Orange Police Department is famous for being the laziest around. I’m mad that I have an address in the area code for the first time in 33 years. I’ve always lived on the borderline or beach side and a nice area but there’s nothing left. that’s nice really around here unless you’re in a multi million dollar home everything‘s disgusting over priced full of mold. The cops are lazy. They don’t pull people over. I got hit by a 19-year-old going 65 miles an hour who then hired my lawyer and sued methey’re absolutely doesn’t need to be any yellow flashing left light that’s dumb as hell and absolutely unsafe. There was another accident today out front of where I live. I won’t say exactly where but in between 711 and Dunlawton and Riverwalk Park. Cop just let people go 65 miles an hour because I can hear them from my bed. Nobody ever pulls anybody over they’d rather sit in their air-conditioned vehicles. Pretty sure that’s why they work for Port Orange, but Port Orange is no better. Everybody soliciting cocaine and drugs at every lowlife Gas station that they let go up in the past five years or so and now they took down the horses and have a storage unit multi levels high down down goes the boring town. I cannot wait to get me and my child out of here. I would never allow my daughter to ride her bike to school as a person who’s taking care of children since I was age 8 in the city of Daytona on Main Street having family business there for 30 years I find it absolutely insane that parents allow their children to ride their bike to school. Do they think they live in Long Island and an upper class neighborhood where I come from? Do they think there’s not a bunch of old people that can’t even see And trafficking going on because they’re absolutely I think people have the wrong idea about Port Orange. It’s not what it was when it was dirt road 30 years ago. I will be writing the news journal about the lights in South Daytona and Port Orange, and the problem at the school with no cross guard but it’s a good thing. They have one at least at Saul’s… I guess. Smh

The kid situation is sad 😢 but him operating that Pc is 😅
