One of the many life-lessons that film noir teaches is that "stupid people die in stupid ways". This great flick proves no exception that the rule. Brynner is always great (as good guy for bad guy). Thanks for posting this movie classic.
I say, this is quite good, what? ;) I love this period, and back then films were works of art!
Totally addicted to these. I cannot believe we get to see for free so many gems. Within the same day i saw this one, Black Angel 46, The suspect 44, Scandal Sheet 52, and Scarlett Street 45. All great noir movies. Especially love Broderick Crawford.
The actor who played Dolly did a great impersonation of Charles Laughton as Captain Bligh. Yul Brynner was like someone from another world. Great stuff.

A good thing with these B-Movies is the action starts quick and usually keeps going.
Yul Brynner is always great, and the supporting cast is solid, including Neville Brand as one of the henchmen. Sadly, Richard Rober as "Jim" died young (42) as a result of an auto accident only a few years after this film's release.

In a delicious piece of irony Scott Brady (the tall good-looking DEA agent who played Michael 'Mickey' Waters) was arrested in 1957 for narcotics possession, but charges were dropped and he always maintained that he was framed.
A nice tight little short notable in the main for Yul Brynner’s cool criminal but also featured the great character actor Neville Brand who went from henchman to much more significant roles.

Thanks to @Cult Cinema Classics for this nice little police procedural. Yul Brynner, son of Russian parents, looks a bit like Comrade Putin. Both pretty hairy characters (pun intended). Later, as a baldhead, the former was very popular worldwide. The latter, therefore, should perhaps follow Brynner's example. 😂

I can not agree with your statement 'The Gmet let the witnesses be killed'. The didn't shoot, or throw any one out the window. The criminal murderer murdered the witnesses. The Gmen didn't let it happen. IE it was not their intentionso their were not letting it happen. How should they have anticipated the crook was also a homicidal murderer. They were pursuing a criminal drug connection with out any inclination a homicidal murderer was involved with the girl.
