Tasha Eimer is leading a project to create nearly 200 crocheted rainbow hearts to spread around the NSW Mid North Coast town of Port Macquarie on June 1, to raise awareness during Pride Month. Tasha says she came out as gay in her twenties after a long struggle and wants to help others feel accepted and let them know support is available.

Too bad that when my friend was participating and you guys were going to film, she was asked to come in by Tasha and expressed not wanting to be filmed due to having homophobic family members, rather than letting them (my friend is also gay) explain that they would be at risk of losing their home, they immediately blocked them after telling them the LGBT event was a gay thing and making them feel unwelcome. Imagine being a victim of homophobia and yet being excluded because of it from something like this. Very hypocritical and disappointing.
Went to this, the idea and message is good, but it was a really horrible experience in the end. never felt so looked down upon and discriminated against in my life, and for something that wasn't even my own fault.
I'd buy one !!
