I recently saw that the CEO said there will never be an electric 911. They are considering alternative fuels to keep the combusition engine alive for the 911. The 911's in this video are not electric, not even hybrids. The 911 is the flagship of Porsche and it appears in fact that it will not go electric. Here's hoping so from a lifelong enthusiast.

Where did you get this information? The Porsche News room doesn´t list any recent announcements regarding new models. At least, I couldn´t find any.

Couple of mistakes in this video. Was it put together by AI? Getting Merc and BMW shots mixed up and showing a Merc SLK R171 instead of a Porsche 918

Pretty crappy video given the sloppy editing and abominable graphics, especially considering that it purports to be about on one of the most well engineered and designed brands in the world!
Hard to get so many wrong information in one video - respect (for nothing)
The 911 has always been a fast responsive car - thats a given. But the 911 isnt about being the fastest. Its about sensory fulfillment - a visceral mechanical involvement with the machine to enjoy the driving experience. An electric 911 wont have the sounds and smells a pure ICE 911 will.
As a Tesla and Porsche owner I hope there's no fully electric 911.

Guys, the name of the brand is Porsche and not Porsh. In Germany an e at the end of a word IS NOT SILENT. So he pronounces the brand name correctly. Just saying as a German. My ears starts to bleed everytime someone says Porsh.

It was never supposes to be called '911', for Porsche wanted '901'. However, one of the French car companies, either Renault or Citroen said they had sole rights to using the number '0' in the body of a designated car model. Porsche could have probably won the right to use it in court but decided to just drop the '0' and replace it with a '1'.

All I know is that when I bring my Black Beck 'Porsche Replica' 356 Speedster to any group event car show, you won't find masses of people surrounding other Porsches, Ferrari's......or anything else for that matter, but 'buzzing' around my car. It is so much like the original ones in 'look', I can't imagine an original one getting more attention. It makes me feel like a 'rock star' LOL !

9000 pounds likely. Viserial will have to be struck from the Porsche reviewers lexicon. The very thing that has defined the various great sports cars of any era has been the engine. It doesn't matter if an electric motor develops more torque than a gasoline engine, it has no life, no soul. The least important thing that is most often quoted is the zero to sixty time. Is 2.7 seconds really better than 3.0? What would Enzo have to say?

I have zero interest in all electric Porsche and even less interest in a 911 version! Ferdinand wouldn't be happy with this plonker at the helm. A returning 968 however, as long as it comes with a turbo charged internal combustion engine, gets me excited. It was the car I aspired to as a child. It trumped the 944 turbo but I'd take one of those too! Design of the highest order!

The first mention of Porsch-ah @0.06 was pronounced as Porsh, again @ 0.045. I was ready to pounce be then he went to the correct two syllable word. So this video was suspect from the beginning.

I watched this video and like the original poster said in discust I was insulted discusted and applauded each time he said Porsch. Only mouth breathing dream to be owners call them porsch. It’s a Porsche. To those commenters saying it’s AI, you must be of those who call it a porsch and not with the intelligence to know some human has to type the words that the auto reader speaks, it’s not even AI it has no intelligence artificial or real it’s just reading typed text. This means some mouth breather, as excellent as all else was, typed porsch in half the times. It made it hard to watch for me as well. It breaks owner code.

The word anglo (and England = Land of the Angles) comes from Germanic people living in Angeln (region in the north of Germany), so I wouldn't call German non-anglo.

@@51tomtomtom It's difficult to find any maps which I can present as being absolutely reliable, especially because I would guess borders would change quite often back then and every map is just a rough estimate or a snapshot of a short time frame. But every map I've seen the angles territory has significant parts in both Germany and Denmark. According to the Wikipedia article on the term angles they most likely originate from the Anglia Peninsula (Angeln), which is part of modern day Germany. Sorry, it seems like I missed the sarcasm.
