Awesome video love when you find this kind of gem my lights were pinging warnings and I was afraid to drive in the dark this video and about 10 minutes later lights are fixed kudos to you and Cayenne Whisperer

Wish I would have seen this video before I had to figure out all of this stuff myself! Lol.. Great video.
Just and FYI. Following the steps taken in this vid worked great. You don’t have to disconnect the harness if you are not replacing it. Upon inspecting mine, there was no deterioration so I didn’t replace it. Used a dremel to cut the clips and cleared the codes. Worked like a charm. Thanks for sharing this vid!

@@89emeza It can also be the climate that degrades the coatings on the wires. Humidity and salt will eat through a polyurethane coating.

@geoffalan9336 I'm in alberta. Not much humidity but lots of salt. But perhaps it doesn't make it to the harness to cause damage

@@89emeza I’m in Toronto. My harnesses were totally fine as well. Maybe it’s just the American air? :-)

Great modification on the fitting but the most difficult part is removing the Pig Tail as it slides sideways and catches on the airbox - how did you get that out - can you show that please as here is where the difficulty lies in replacing the Pig Tails 🤔

Nice fix, but be aware: the failing wire insulation also occurs inside the headlight unit as I just found out. Cause is an experimental use of environmental friendlier insulation material. Right,thanks hella/Porsche..Very concerning
