Thanks for making this great series of videos Aaron. I've really enjoyed watching and will use them as a reference if I ever need to pull the engine on my 2000 Boxster 986. One little trick I've used over the years is to have a carton of Ziploc bags handy. Each time I remove a piece of hardware or a grouping from a component removal I put the parts in a bag and label it. I never lose anything and makes reassembly much less confusing. Will become a patron but having trouble finding you on Patreon. Phil

Another great informative video! Aaron, I am getting ready to drop my engine out of a 2003S I do not have a Lift, but I do have quick jacks, and I am looking at purchasing that lift table from Harbor freight. A couple videos earlier you had mentioned you were going to give us the minimum height of the car for getting the engine out, did I miss it? I 🎉Believe the engine itself is about 23 inches tall from the bottom of the oil pan to the radiuses of the air intakes. And I believe the cart that you have is a minimum of 11 inches when it’s completely collapsed. It looks like we would need a minimum of 34 inches. I think just be on the safe side 36”from the oil pan to the ground to get our clearance, does this make sense or am I missing something. Keep up the good work, you are the Everyday man when it comes to Boxster. we all appreciate your effort. Thanks.

+@tomkrug809 thanks! Yes I meant to do that… don’t think I ever did though. I would figure out the match for sure though if I were you… that table would only go down and not back up for me as you may have seen, so if you start lowering and there is not enough clearance, you’re going to find yourself in quite a bind… Please come back and let us know what you find though! Good luck 🍻

I don’t remember did you have the 1000 or the 500 pound lift table? I am looking at the 1000 pound one. And yes harbor freight is not always perfect but it is reasonable on things that you don’t use every day. I have had to return a few things in the past.

At 7.50 it says that rear AC bolt is between 5 and 6 cylinders. I think they meant 4 and 5, or am I mistaken? If they were in error, did you find a significant mount of other things? Things where you relied on the text, i.e. no picture? Awesome video(s) by the way.
