Thanks for watching Jeff. I’ll be doing the muffler bypass when I get some time to take the factory mufflers to get bypassed. Not sure yet when that will be

Me too! Hopefully after I finish the coilovers and steering rack.

Great updates Kevin. Very much looking forward to the coilover install video! I am using Motul 8100 x-cess with good results although I do have a ticking noise on start up which I suspect is due to a weak tensioner.

I’ve got some chain rattle and a little tick on start up if I let the car sit for a few days. I don’t think the 300v is going to help much with any of that. Although some have said it got quieter with the 300v. I liked what I read about how the oil adheres to engine parts and the additional wear protection.

The Feal coilovers look great Kevin, hope you bring the camera along for the install!

It’s a great idea to do research and watch as much as you can to get ready. Thanks for the support and I hope you get your 996 soon.

The values of the 996 are increasing especially for a well maintained 911. The head lamps that got all the negative press are more in vogue now. Probably because in the 50 plus years of 911s the 996 was the only model that had that equipment. Making the eggs rarer!

I never understood the dislike for them. Yes they are different but that style is shared with the 1997-8 911 GT1 car from Le Mans.

Motul is cheaper than Mobil1 here in the UK. I think I'll do the same on my 996!

I'm running Motul 300v 5w-40 and I'm happy with it after a year of running it.

Your video made me research the Feal coil overs. Thanks. Did you roll your rear fenders since your are running 19s and lowered?

I didn’t but im really close. I have to run around 1.8 deg of camber in the rear
