I really like the GTS. Its my favorite trim of 911. I did build S and GTS and the difference for me was about $20k USD. GTS had the truffle interior I wanted as well.

You won’t go wrong either way, but GTS definitely has its own advantages like the badging, extra HP, different suspension etc 👌🏼

Albert, love your show.. looking to buy my first 991 most likely 4S. With the 992.2 is coming. Is it wise to wait in your opinion? With the allocation better now. Do you think it is a good idea to buy the soon the outgoing 992.1hopefully at MSRP. I lived in Toronto. Not yet talk to any dealer yet

Thanks for your comment, and I’m glad you like my videos! Really appreciate it! From what I heard, 992.2 won’t be introduced to at least later of 2024, so earliest would be 2025. By then, MSRP will go up, and don’t forget the lovely luxury tax as well. I was at the same situation as you when I ordered mine, and honestly Thank God as back then there wasn’t any luxury tax, and MSRP hasn’t raised yet. Good news is in Canada, it’s illegal for dealers to charge over MSRP for cars, so rest assured you will only need to pay MSRP 👌🏼 I bought mine from PCNT, and my Porsche SA’s name is Erica, which I highly recommend! Good luck🍀 and do keep us posted 💪🏼

I own a 991.2 4s. I recommend it over the GTS as you can easily get the GTS (and more) power with a simple engine re-mapping. The 4s rides better for a daily and is cheaper to service. Just make sure to tic the box for rear-wheel steering. The only downside is the GTS will retain its value a bit better.

I am actually deciding on this tonight Im really stressed because i am pretty financially stretched in buying this. Im in canada as well and my 911 GTS comes to $219,000 plus tax is $273,000 and with interest payments it will end up costing me $365,000 I dont know what to do

First off, congratulations! Hopefully you can a find a car that best suits your needs! Secondly, a car is supposed to be enjoyed, if you’re very financially stretched, it’s best to maybe tune it down a bit a maybe just do the 911 Base, 911 T or even a 718 if you can still get an allocation. Unless it’s a GT car, you can’t really flip a new car now, so if you’re planning to flip the car within a few years, it might not be the best route. Good luck and hopefully you find your perfect next car 👌🏼

@Albertandcars thank you for your reply. Actually, I am stretching myself because this is the car I want to keep. I feel like why not pay more and have the specs I really want. I have never driven a GTS so I have a hard time deciding if the 20k in price difference is justified

@@Bangabalunga understood, if that’s the case, just do it! Haha you won’t regret it! At first I hesitated on doing the deviated yellow stitching as it seems excessive to pay extra just to get the stitching color changed, but honestly it was worth it! Especially if you’re planning to keep your car for the long run, get what you want, because regrets and ‘what if’s’ will cost you more mentally and emotionally in the long run. When’s the ETA and are you buying your car in Ontario?

What a joke Porsche has become. It doesn’t matter how you compare models since Porsche management has decided not to actually build the cars. Want an example? Take Porsche North Houston in Texas where I live. They have just one new 911 in stock. One! Oh but let’s look at used 911s…ah they have 25 of those. I see a 2024 911 turbo s with 72 miles on it. That’s strange. Who would buy a turbo s, drive it 72 miles and trade it in? I’ll tell you who a speculator. They have 10 911s from 2024 and 2023 all with less than 5,000 miles (many with just a thousand or so miles); all of them bought by speculators, who reamed them out with endless launches and donuts for their KZread videos, then sold back to the dealers at a premium. Then the dealers mark them up at $40,000 over MSRP and sell them to the fools seeking a nice new shiny Porsche. This is akin to the Rolex business model where the dealers never have inventory of new popular models. No, those are all poached by speculators and marked up to gouge the customers who actually want to own and use the product. Of course, if you want an EV now you are aligned with the EU desires and thus Porsche’s woke mandates; those can be bought easily right off the lot, where they are rotting since no one wants to buy them. So, all these videos about how to configure and select the best trim of 911 are a fantasy. Enjoy the make believe, but, if you want a 911 be prepared to buy it used and at a massive premium. Welcome to the woke climate change religion that is now Porsche. Btw, I’ve owned 5 Porsches, all bought new from the dealer inventory, except the first one that I ordered. So, I’m not some wanna-be complaining about cars I haven’t owned. I was a loyal customer who now feels shit on by Porsche.
