Thank you Steph It's been quite a learning curve for me. My hats off to the engineers and craftsmen who build these cars back in the day Very impressive! Cheers
Absolute jewelry. The hours of diligence and perseverance are on display here. An inspiration to the DIY'ers out there. This home built restoration will rival the best concours restoration shops.

Thanks Charles I really do admire those restoration shops..I can't imagine trying to make a living restoring and building these old cars. The patience needed and the tolerances of the engineering can really test a person. Mine has been put to the test for sure=) Cheers!
So kick ass, Mike! Congratulations on this killer milestone. Good on you.

Mike, this hobby of yours and mine is one of patience and gratification. We can hear it in your voice "....in all her glory..." when the satisfaction of a job well done is before you. Odd how we can almost forget about all the time and effort required when the key is turned and the clutch is feathered for the first time. Congrats on the progress and thank you for the help on my current 912E project. Your videos are a constant reference for me.

Thank you Stephen. Wow! that's awesome you have been with us form the beginning. 7 years! We should have a running car real soon and hopefully some fun videos coming with better coverage of the final product, once we get her out of the booth. Thanks for always tuning in=) Cheers!
Well done Mike.. that note of satisfaction in your voice touched me too.. I'm waiting for the day when you torque down that final bolt, give the windscreen one last wipe, check the oil level again - and then start 'er up! If you put a row of seats in your workspace, you'd fill them all.. I'm sure this is compulsory viewing at the factory too.

That’s too nice to hide under that deck lid Mike. Great stuff. I feel your pain on the hoses. I made the mistake of releasing one on my SC to do no.1 plug. Saved 30sec doing the plug but still haven’t got that hose back on right. 😂

OMG PLEASE run plug wire #1 through the lollipop
@MikesRestorations
Жыл бұрын
Hello Kirk You are very observant! Yes at a glance it wild appear that the #1 goes thru the lollipop and the coil wire outside. A very close inspection of the old photos clearly shows #1 outside and the coil wire running through. I tried running all 4 wires through the holder but only three will make it through. However that's not saying that they may have made some changes later.. Anything is possible with Porsche Cheers!
