I have tried to grow Dalle here from a tiny seed of a dalle my Bara had given me back in 2017 when i came to visit my parents in Kalimpong(bara bari used to be neighbours ) and bara had a massive dallae ko plant. I grew some dallaes last year but then the plant died and even the seeds have died now as they didnt grow at all this year which is a shame. I eat dallae out of the achar jars which i bought when i was last in Kalipong. Super peero but i love it, I have to eat something spicy with my food every day

Mr. Robin, I'd like to ask about a Nepali recipe for something like a black powder that Nepalese use to add on top of their rice. I saw it in some vlogs before but the only info I got was it's called sesame pickled powder or something. I'm not sure if it's the one. Saw some Nepalese add it on top of their rice like a seasoning when they are eating pork or chicken curry. Do you know it?

I think that black powder is called Wachipa. We call wachipa, which is made from the skin of local chicken and is burnt in the fire. Mixing that black powder with rice, the food is very sticky and it is also a home remedy which is used for body aches. Thank you 🙏💕
