Thank you for watching my Texas style pork belly video. On this video, I took an 8 pound pork belly and seasoned it Texas style using nothing but salt and pepper. I've made pork belly several different ways but this recipe is by far my favorite. I smoked this pork belly on my Yoder YS640 pellet smoker and as you'll see, it came out absolutely perfect.

That looks great, I have made pork belly like a brisket before, but I think you have a good idea in cutting them into smaller chunks. Keep posting these awesome videos

Amazingly lean pork belly. Looks delicious. We miss not having the Hump Day live chat last week.
Sold! The bark really made the pork belly slabs into something special. Going to try the foil boat, but I won't try to say 'foil boat' 3 times quickly.
It would be great to see one or more videos on how to clean, maintain, and store your grill grates. What are the different kinds? Which ones to use depending on the situation? That's always a problem area for me.

In europe meat in general is a lot less fatty, that can be a good and a bad thing depending on what you need it for. But for pork belly its much better imo. For brisket not so much

Nice Joe - I've never tried pork belly but I'm going to after this. I use charcoal mostly (Weber Smoky Mountain). What cut does it taste like? Pork Shoulder?

Slowly, I've been working my up to my ultimate goal with grilling/smoking, and that's doing Texas style brisket. This, I think I'll try out as somewhat of a "trail and error" run. Either, I see that as a win-win, I do love me some pork belly.

Yoder has been making pellet smokers for many years vs. the Lonestar one that just came out. Not saying the Lonestar smoker is inferior but Yoder has a proven track record and it is the top American Made 🇺🇲 pellet smoker in the business. 👍
I really enjoy the simplicity of your seasoning! I do have a question though, “what would the addition of brown sugar do?” I am up north in Montana and people seem to like a little sweet with pork.

MMMM, that pork belly looks great!! Been having a hard time getting any around here since Covid hit. SAMS tells me that they are not receiving any....
