Have you done a video on Hassi? I can’t find many and I really want some also what size tub would you start 10 of them in? I have been starting my cultures in smaller 2-3qt containers but can I go bigger with so few isopods? What would you recommend for maximum production potential? Thanks
@SupremeGecko
4 жыл бұрын
I have not yet. I only do videos on geckos and isopods that I am having some success with breeding. That way, I can share my experience with others to help them too. I would start them in a 12-15 qt container for sure. 6 qt is the smallest container I actually use. Max potential..... as large of a container as you can do!

How do I give my scabers ventilation and still prevent little mites from crawling out? I've tried to quarantine my plants and my setups but I haven't been able to get rid of the mites little soil mites they crawl up the condensation.
@SupremeGecko
Жыл бұрын
What ventilation are you providing?
@Amocles
Жыл бұрын
@@SupremeGecko I don't have any ventilation currently it's completely closed but I know that's wrong long-term especially for the scabers. But I keep them with a bioactive setup with a lot of moss. The moss dries out if it doesn't stay wet but if I keep it wet then the soil mites get all over the glass and I get worried that they're going to crawl out so I sealed it for now. That rus from aquaramax guy recommended 3M medical tape it's porous I think I'm going to try that I have some. Have you ever gotten soil mites how would you recommend ventilating a bioactive setup with isopods but still secure it
@SupremeGecko
Жыл бұрын
@@Amocles As I mentioned above, I use the snake bags (porous enough to allow air in but not other nasties), or cheesecloth.
