Very nice review, and very helpful. Although the 3 fold rings are complicated. If you can shoot it from another side, or just put that in slow motion, would be very helpful.

Thanks for the feedback. If you need the video to playback in slow motion, you can do that from the KZread watch page or mobile app. On the KZread webpage, click the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the video, then change Speed to 0.75, 0.5, or 0.25 and it'll play back in slow motion. In the mobile app, tap the "three dots" menu in the top right corner of the video and change Playback speed to one of the slower options. Hope this helps!

@@ReviewedByPhil Thank you for your response. I've never even seen a bed bug before but once i researched that they can transmit Chagas Disease, I freaked out (like I often do). I hope i can find a netting that will keep out bed bugs!

Will it fit a full-size mattress? It says on Amazon that it will, but it's hard to see in the video how a 71' wide would fit a 54' inch wide bed. Does the netting tuck underneath the mattress so as to allow a 71' wide to fit the smaller 54' wide full size mattress?

The suitcase in the video is not a carry-on. It's a Samsonite spinner, like this one: geni.us/aHrb [Amazon Affiliate Product Link] I bought mine years ago so I'm not sure if the exact style is still sold or if the dimensions are any different on newer ones. I did have to slightly compress the tent to get it to fit, but it doesn't warp the frame permanently.

Hm, most of the solutions I found for twin beds are the nets you hang from the ceiling. The smallest pop-up mosquito net I found is for a full-size mattress, which is a little smaller and maybe could work on a twin: geni.us/yBHfS0M [Amazon Affiliate Product Link]

It does, but only in large suitcases as it doesn't compress much, width wise, after it's folded back into its circular shape. The suitcase should be at least 25" wide on the interior to fit the net inside.

Yeah, it should just fit. The width of a king size bed is 80 inches and the longest dimension this can open to is 79".

Yes, I don't see why not. Just make sure there's nothing on the ground that it can get caught or ripped on like rocks or splinters etc.

That's tricky depending on how stuck it is. I try and slowly back it out (unzip it) while working any caught material out of the teeth and hopefully not tearing the fabric in the process!

@reviewedbyphil what about the bottom of the tent? Is it opened or what? If not, how to sleep inside of it? Ideally it should be opened so we can sleep on our beds. What do you think?

The bottom of the tent has netting as well and the tent is entirely enclosed. This helps to prevent insects from entering through any gaps. But you must take the bedding into the tent with you (pillows, blankets, etc. as explained at 0:54) You must open the zippered doors to enter and exit the tent as shown at 0:49.

Yes, I feel it is durable and can withstand repeated opening and closing. This will eventually show some signs of wear with daily use, sooner than with occasional use. All products wear out over time. It just depends on how much you use it and if you care for it well in can last a while.

Thank you for these foldin g instructions. Oddly enough, mine didn't come in the green decent bag with a handle. Rather, it came in a light blue cheap case made out of the same material that those blue paper-esque sleeves are made out of to put ice packs in for use on an ache or pain. :( =M+

Hm, is the bag smaller? There's a new version of this tent in a light blue bag that folds a bit smaller, to 20" rather than 23". While you *can* fold the new one using the method in this video, it won't be small enough to fit in a 20" bag. The brand is Ammer and I've read others say they used the same size tent on a twin bed without any issues.

Is this net closed from bottom? Can we spread any other bed sheet or blanket in the Net easily and can sleep 2 person comfortably. Please _show this in demo for more clarity. We want to buy if it seems useful

Yes, the net is closed on the bottom, so you would need to bring the blanket inside the tent to use it (see 0:54 for explanation). I show the bottom of the tent at 1:19.

That's correct. In order to be fully encased inside the net, you will sleep on top of the bottom of it. Or you can put bedding on the bottom of the net tent, like a mat or sleeping bag, comforter, etc. and sleep on that, but still inside the net tent.

Yes, that's the only way the tent can be used since it's a full enclosure. Any bedding you need would have to be brought into the tent to use. I have seen open bottom net tents but these are typically hung from the ceiling on a central hook and don't feature the wire frame for folding it up.

This size I have here is a queen so it will fit on a full size bed (aka double-bed) but be slightly larger and hang off the sides a few inches. It will be just slightly smaller than a king size bed, though you can probably purchase the net in different sizes if you need to..

You have to be quite gentle and you can't scrub, or the netting may catch and tear. My suggestion would be to soak the tent in a bathtub with mild detergent and rinse off using a shower spray or do it outdoors using a garden hose with a gentle spray pattern.

You can very gently hose it down with a garden hose or spray it in the shower while it is folded up. However, you don't want to scrub it because you could tear the delicate netting. To dry, set the net up in an open area that gets plenty of air flow or use a fan to speed that process up.

While I haven't had the need to test that myself, and the listing doesn't mention bed bugs explicitly, I have seen others claim that it does keep out bedbugs for similar products. I wish I could give you a more definite answer, but I think if you want to be reasonably sure you should ask the vendor that sells the one you want to buy for some sort of guarantee in case it doesn't work out and you need to return it.

Joihn Lecouteur Fortunately there are bug bombs and if they don't work they can cook the rooms in your house to 140 F. Bed bugs can't stand heat or cold.

While it does not state explicitly on the packaging that this is washable, I believe you can rinse it off with a garden hose without much issue. I would not use any kind of abrasive or scrub on it as you may damage the netting. I also don't know which detergent or solvents can be used safely on it without degrading the material and recommend against doing that. Make sure to allow to air dry completely by setting the tent up in a well ventilated space so that it does not get moldy. Since I haven't had occasion to wash mine as I have only used it a handful of time on top of beds and it has not gotten soiled or dirty.

Pro tip from Australia: sleep with a fan on you, they can't handle the wind.

Virtually impossible to fold back up. The top circle insists on folding itself over before folding down. One time after a huge struggle I got everything but the top circle put together and the top circle just absolutely did not want to fold in without obviously breaking.
