One of the easiest way to incorporate a style is using an armchair (they're big enough to make an impact, but the whole room doesn't have to revolve around it). I've curated 20+ items to make sure there's one for almost every style.

I only discovered your videos recently and love them. I’m catching up on all your past ones. I love your design aesthetic and your minimalist style. It’s rare to find a KZreadr who is consistently good, but you have nailed it. I’m a Sydneysider and it’s nice to see such good content from a local.

Fantastic content with clear explanations and visual examples of the different interior designs. My interior design leans into eclectic: a mix of MCM, Scandi, transitional.

Would love to see you put these concepts into practice for your clients! My partner and I have different styles (him more industrial, me more Scandi) and I have no idea how to accomplish both within a limited space when we finally live together, especially with his already existing furniture 😂

Your content is amazing. I have one editing request: lower the white point of your transitions and white backgrounds to more closely match the white point of the camera you use on yourself. It's REALLY bright when watching at night 😭 we love watching your videos to calm down at night and get inspired for the day ahead.

Great Information regarding different interior design styles. I will be moving in my new flat of apartment later this year. Wanted to mix specific interior design styles for each room(Living, Bedroom, Dining and Kitchen). After seeing your video, I am mostly fond of Coastal, Scandinavian and Contemporary. Need some tips to choose which interior design is best for each room? ❤

They should be pretty easy to mix together. I've seen so many contemporary coastal homes, and scandi elements can go naturally within.

And TIL, my preferred style leans towards art deco and transitional. Wondering if I can somehow incorporate this with more industrial-contemporary my partner prefers for our place. So difficult! I'm trying to figure out what to call what my mom wants for our other home... its a more California spanish Moroccan but earthy vibe (stained glass accents, but wide and bright french doors, a sage-y green kitchen, machuca tile accents). It sounds so confusing, but I can envision it!

That was just absolutely lovely and so useful to watch! Just tomorrow I'll be moving out to officially start living with my girlfriend. We're both very excited as actually each of us is from a different city from the one we're currently living in - and in the many years we've lived here, neither of us really dared to personalize our past appartments. I found your channel searching for inspiration and ideas for what will be our very first real home in this city, and I couldn't be happier with your content. Thank you and congratulations for all your amazing and delightful work!

My partner and I have opposite tastes, we worked together to find furniture that we both like, vetoing anything we are against, and ended up with an authentic and collected home that doesn't follow any specific trend yet feels cohesive and stylish. I'm sure you both will create an interesting style that's a mix of your individual selves!

Most of these styles look very similar. The same white boucle' chair was in a number of them. I found almost all of these to be rather dull- with primarily white walls, modern furniture, and very little color. I saw little to distinguish these styles, outside of the farmhouse, country rustic, and traditional styles. Even the examples of Art Deco were all white and neutrals. What has happened to the expression of individuality in this culture? Even the examples of industrial were tame. And Boho white? Or Scandi boho? That's a bit of a contradiction in terms, isn't it? I thought boho style was centered on global tastes and colors, with a strong element of Roma caravan over-the-top fabrics and painted furniture. Even the midcentury modern was washed out- no golds, oranges, turquoise, etc. Do you think color will ever return to the US design aesthetic? Or will we have to live with ten different "styles" that can all be bought at Ikea for another decade and feature white, off white, beige or greige with accents of black?

I came to leave this very comment but you beat me to it and said what I was thinking far better than I could have. I was especially confused at around 2:38 when he was talking about art deco having bright and deep blues, greens, reds and yellows - there was barely any of these colours to be seen in the rooms he showed, it was just more of the neutral-on-neutral that has been trendy for a while now. A while back I was looking for images of what I expect to be quite colourful decor styles like Spanish Hacienda, and even those were mostly beige and off-white. I don't know what has happened to colour, it's as though someone soaked all the spaces in some bleach water and washed most of it out.

@@user-kpkxgtj Don't fret. Some of these designers have announced the death of gray interiors and heralded the coming of color: beige! Beige is the rage in 2024. Sigh.
