Thanks for watching our Ireland Series! We hope you enjoyed Ireland as much as we did! For those who haven't seen every episode here's the playlist! kzread.info/dash/bejne/mpOGo9l_ibuyYc4.html What's your favorite part of Ireland?
Seán bar in athlone is the oldest. I’m so glad you went to Gallagher’s Boxtyhouse incredible food I grew up on boxty. They also do a dinner boxty like a crêpe so they wrap food in it which is really fabulous. When in Ireland never never never asked for a car bomb it makes light of the troubles. Sounds like you met a nice person who was polite to you. Many people on both sides of the border are still affect by the troubles. You definitely seems like you embrace the culture of the people. The surfing out west is very good I know they have competitions I don’t know when that is. I wish you had gotten over to the Docklands and the grand canal which is a lovely newer area that’s where all the tech companies are but it’s a beautiful neighborhood. It looks like you enjoyed.

I really enjoyed your jaunt through Dublin. The food looked just amazing and you are casual energy. Made it such a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to future videos. ☘️
FYI the Irish Car Bomb is not a think here as it is literally named after violence up the North and the IRA bombing of cars. It would be a bit insensitive to sell it here… Baileys is a really Irish drink too. Very popular if you have people over around Christmas. The Irish eggnog😉🤣

Surprised you didn’t try a spice bag, it’s only available here, you walked by cloud nine, and kakilang for fun things to try as well! Tea Bus, escape rooms and sitting in st stephens green park on the grass munching on good snacks (fair enough it was raining) , st stephens green shopping centre is the oldest shopping centre in Ireland, o connell street, Henry street and Parnell as well is nice to visit, mainly for all the cultural diversity and food that’s in Ireland, the full Irish breakfast, for next time as well, and maybe do give the Irish McDonald’s a shot too, I know every American ive ever spoken to has said no Maccies in the states top our chicken nuggets and burgers! The bray-zen head.. Sean’s bar in Athlone is older, founded in about 900 ad. Never heard of drinking Guinness to the G! Was impressed with the first swallow though 👍
Don’t know why this came up in my suggestions but very cool video. Glad you enjoyed this great city and country. Couple of other cool facts for you in case you didn’t know: 1 - Kilmainham Gaol is most famous for the executions of the leaders of the 1916 rising. If it wasn’t for them this wouldn’t be the Republic of Ireland. It’s also a film location for the original Italian Job movie with Michael Caine. 2 - The trinity college library is also library from Harry Potter.

They were actually no castles as such in ireland before 1170 at the earliest. They were stone forts before that but they weren't castles as such. Most of the existing castle ruins date from the 1300s at the earliest.

@@MathersOnTheMap If you ever come back to Dublin do the Glasnevin Cemetery tour as it is a continuation of the Kilmainham tour. Right beside the cemetery is Kavanagh's - The Grave Diggers Pub and Restaurant which serves a real Dublin Coddle and one of the best pints of Guinness in Dublin. You can walk through the gate beside The Grave Diggers into The National Botanic Gardens. Enterance to the gardens is free. A short walk from the Botanic Gardens is The Bald Eagle Pub, Cross Guns, Phibsboro for fabulous food, drink and great Guinness. A two minute short walk from the Bald Eagle is an original Victorian Pub The Hut Pub, Phibsboro which serves the best Guinness in Dublin. This pub still retains all of its original Victorian tiled floors, mahogany and brass bar. It's a really beautiful pub and well worth a visit.
