I've watched this multiple times over the last couple of years. Absolutely awesome. It is also very sad, knowing a bit of the story that goes with it, and I hope this video NEVER gets removed, as a life long tribute to N.R. may you rest in peace. And I hope your family knows that you are still bringing joy and happiness to many people around the world with your talent.

Warmest thanks. I needed that cry (out of pride). 15 years in uniform and the Canadian Infantry; the bagpipes are dear to my heart. It’s one piece of kit the Scots got right. Talk about invoking emotions with the massed pipes and drums!! Big thanks again. Peace Be The Journey!

James Stephen The tune played by the female soloist at the start of this video until 3.10 is Highland Cathedral. Black Bear is a retreat March usually played at 2/4. The tune she is playing is Highland Cathedral and is quite obviously not a march. Black Bear is NOT played at any point during this video.

Call me a cynical bastard (I am) but right at the end, a couple of kids walk out of a phone shop and barely see and/or hear what's in front of them. I'm wearing condoms from now on, 'cos I'd go mental if a sprog of mine had such blatant disregard. On a side note, good job people.

Red poppies are worn in remembrance on and around November 11th (end of WWI). I don’t know about my fellow English speaking nations, but it’s a bit more confusing here in the States. November 11th for us is Veterans’ Day and many don’t make the WWI connection unless you’re a history buff. We then honor our fallen service members on the last Monday of May.

kd5tmu - The set starts with the soloist playing Highland Cathedral and is followed at 3:10 with the Green Hills of Tyrol, 4:16 When the battle is o'er. This set repeats until 7:55 Scotland the brave (if that needed an introduction) 8:40 the Rowan Tree. The set then repeats until the end of the video. Hope that has been helpful.
